A little disappointed as I suspect this was a display or returned bag - no packaging intact, tags removed and a sizable scratch/mark on the back. Coach did offer an exchange or a 10% refund. Normally I’d exchange but I don’t have time so I accepted the small refund and am happy with that I suppose.
Plus this bag is massive, only plan on using for travel so it will get beaten up on my first trip I’m sure haha.
Other than that… I’m impressed with this bag. Reasonably priced - nice change! Coach really killed it in terms of craftsmanship and the burnished leather color.. yummy

I returned my Honey brown 48. It was gorgeous, but for the size and color I felt like it was going to get too beat up. I love the worn look, but I don't know about putting Honey brown under an airplane seat : /
My original Merlot had a stitching issue, and none were available at the time to replace it, so I decided to go with Honey brown. The Coach store not too far from me recently got about 10 Merlots in stock, so I jumped on it.
Also, I wasn't aware they got rid of the birthday 10% discount. Instead of driving to the retail location, I called customer service and was just going to order it online and save gas, but they said they would honor the 10% birthday discount if I ordered online for in store pick up. That was a very nice birthday surprise!
Not sure why they got rid of it, but the agent said they are revamping their insider rewards program, and the birthday discount is coming back eventually. Also used my Kiehl's birthday rewards to get this White Lotus Limited edition skin care kit LOL. It looks like I'm ready to take a trip!
Thank you! I saw them on display and just had to have it lol. They are also 25% off I believe until May 3rd. I might use it as a toiletry bag for the empire lol

They got rid of the birthday discount I think in February which is unfortunate but I wonder what the new version of rewards programs will be.
Anyway, glad you were finally able to get a good version of your original Merlot! It’s really a beauty.
The Soft 28 is supposedly being released in Merlot this fall, so hoping to be able to get that when it’s out
Seriously I have had so many Empires lol. They have really good customer service, I feel like most companies wouldn't be as accommodating. Part of my problem is also FOMO.
I noticed in February they changed the hang tag policy and upped the prices. Seems they did a lot of changes in Feb! But yes definitely glad I scored this beauty...and oh gosh, a Merlot in 28 😍

OMG I finally got the Black one!!! I cannot believe how beautifully it is packed!! I don’t wanna unbox it. I have been buying bags ( most LVs) for a very long time now but it is the first time that I don’t wanna unbox it 😆😆😆 I know it sounds soo silly but this bag is soo gorgeous, makes me speechless!
I dont know how Birkins are packed but my Evelyn was not even packed that beautifully 😭😭😆😆😆😆

I have actually only received mine through the store, but I love when they give me the bag all wrapped in the plastic like this. I feel like I'm opening a gift haha. The bag is beautiful, congratulations! Black is so classic!
I wish I could go to store and buy it from there, Unfortunately we don’t have a coach store in Vienna, Austria! Coach only started delivering last year to Vienna, so it’s very hard for us to get something from Coach, specially like the empire bag!
I cannot even bring myself to unwrap to 😆😆😆imagining I put it in my clothset and from time to time I keep “admiring” it 😆😆 i have other bags too but this one is just soo different. I still have time until Tuesday to admire it unwrapped then I am going to meet my friend! She wants to see it as well!!😆😆😆 let’s see if I can bring myself to unwrap it 💕
Congratulations! I had mine sitting wrapped and stuffed for over a month before I finally took the time to fully unwrap. There was sooo much packaging too 🤣
But it feels even better once you get to see it unwrapped and ready for you to carry ❤️

Oh no! I think the new "reward" is to have a shopping experience because an SA reached out saying she would love to have me come in and have her create a memorable birthday shopping experience for me. I didn't know they had discontinued the discount. Booo because my husband and I were at a boutique tonight and I showed him the honey 28 and he was trying to convince me to buy it. He's such a bad influence/enabler. LOL.
