I have a 40 and City Tote. They're both great, but I like that the Empire can zip close. The fairy tote is great with the Coach insert that holds my water bottle and laptop in place and keeps it organized. I carry the Empire with the handles and the shoulder strap relatively easily. The City Tote, I a shoulder carry. I can hand carry, but it hangs relatively low.

Thankyou! I’ve just ordered the Empire 40 in honey. Excited for it to arrive. Love my tote, but the lack of closure and the London tube scene don’t really go together!
I get that! I also got the Honey! It went straight from store packaging through the airport and in a plane. It held up really well and I think you'd appreciate it for your commute!
The Coach tote insert doesn't work in the Empire 40, so if you need that kind of organization, you may need to find one that's flexible enough to work. Mine was fine without. Pouches are my friends.

There is no launch date given for the green bag yet, but it will have brass hardware (the hardware looks silver in the teaser pic).

I’m going to purchase an Empire bag, but not sure about the size… I’m considering the 40, which seems to be the popular one and with great leather (I prefer the slouchy look) but is it too big? It looks so big in the pictures, even bigger than the dimensions indicate. I mean, I have two Mulberry oversized Alexas and even though they are quite big, they are usable for me. The Empire 40 seems a lot bigger in pics anyway, even though I suppose that’s not the case. I can’t see the bag in person and I have to order it overseas, so I’d like to make an informed decision. I’d use the bag in town, not at work, and I wouldn’t fill it to the brim, so I’m not worried about the weight but the look, I’m afraid it would look ridiculously big on me, as it does look big on the pics. I also wouldn’t use the crossbody strap, I’d chance it to a shorter, over the shoulder strap.

The 28 fits everything I need to carry with me, but the opening is a little small-ish with the zipper closure, I find that the zipper does brush up against my hands when I am going in and out of the bag. Slight annoyance. The 40 is perfect to carry by top handle, and since I'm petite I do not use the crossbody strap, I have photos to show you how it looks on me and it is a bit ridiculous. I thought the 28 would soften up with some use but I think because it’s smaller the leather doesn’t have the same weight and probably will be structured. There’s a 35? I think. I haven’t tried that size.

THIS is the version I have been waiting for, just in the 48! This is close enough for me to be happy after missing out on the limited edition distressed models lol. That's so funny the rep I talked to MONTHS ago was right, the 'loved leather' launching at the end of summer.
I wonder if the flagships are going to do a soft launch of the larger styles soon?
