I think when we make a negative comment on another's choice of handbag , hairstyle, clothing etcetera , it becomes very personal. Women are judged enough already ... Sure, you don't have to like it and you sure don't gave to compliment it, but I would be very self conscious about using a bag if I thought other people would judge it "hideous" - it would spoil some of my pleasure in it.

And no I don't own that bag! ;)

It is the Internet and no one should take anything on here seriously. I see how it can be offensive. I get that. But if you like it, then what does it matter?

Our statements weren't a jab at anybody's self esteem or intended to hurt any feelings, and I'm sorry it came off that way.

I agree. If I like something, then I don't care what other people think. Also, I'd never point to someone specific and say "omg I hate your (fill in the blank)". That would be mean. I'm speaking about a bag that Coach made and had on their web site for everyone is the US to see, which is now on eBay and I'm stating my opinion about it... Some people here have it and some people don't. If you own it and like it, that's fine... that's why Coach made it! But it's silly to think EVERYONE who sees something that you have is going to like it. I see people here ALL the time complaining about the break away zippers and how they wish they would go away. I personally love the break away zippers. I don't personally get insulted by the difference of opinion.

I hate the bag and I stand by that. But I have absolutely nothing against anyone who does like it, I don't think less of anyone for their taste, and I think it's wonderful that people enjoy different things.

A prime example, a friend told me they liked my Audrey tote but hated the dots that form the design and it ruins the bag.

I wasn't offended. I like it. I carry her with pride.

Well stated lacey_stiletto...I agree, it was an unnecessary post and completely off topic...this thread is not a poll of the bag's ugliness...what happened to if you have nothing good to say, say nothing at all ?!...and yes, I own the bag, have used it everyday since I got it, am offended by the comment, but would not sell my ugly bag on eBay for any price :D

Let's not forget the 'report' post feature, the faq's state it may be used in cases of lame, highly attitudal or offensive comments. No need to go back and forth, just report. Easy peasy.

This should be a positive supportive community of Coach fans. Thanks.

Technically, the post was on topic. The subject is the bag. This is a forum. It is unrealistic to believe everyone has a positive opinion of everything.

I am sorry you were offended. It was not intended to offend. Just a matter of to each her own.
