Oh that's such a shame, maybe google it, and when TPF comes up on the page, you click on it and read if others had the problem and how they solved it.Hi all, I have a purple patent Bayswater and the patent outer layer seems to have lifted up a bit in the middle at the top where it creased when sat on a shelf in my wardrobe. It's created a white plastic looking patch - is there any way this can be fixed or am I stuck with it like this? It's such a shame as it's a beautiful bag, I should have filled it out with paper when I wasn't using it!
Any advice would be welcome please.
Hello, I'm no expert at all, but maybe you could try heat? I heard that it works with furniture: when the varnish has become old and dry and lifts from the surface, you can iron it through a piece of cloth and it smoothes and sticks again. I would not iron your bag, though! Perhaps you could try a hairdryer and see what happens? Be careful, though, it's just a thought!Hi all, I have a purple patent Bayswater and the patent outer layer seems to have lifted up a bit in the middle at the top where it creased when sat on a shelf in my wardrobe. I have finally bought myself a berry alexa after many months of admiring it - and it's my first mulberry bag too! I have bought some collonil water spray and gel to help protect it. I am keen to apply both before taking it out and risking it in the British winter weather.
I was wondering if anyone could give me some tips on applying it? If I spray it on the metal parts will it mark it etc?
Any help would be greatly appreciated - thanks!
I spray mine over the metal parts and have had no problems. I use collonil .
Hi ladies, I just want to double check something. I have read different opinions on here. Should I use collinal gel first and then spray to seal? Or spray, use gel as needed then spray again or spray then gel? :confused I am kinda getting the feeling it's gel then spray sorry? Lol. Thanks in advance x
P.S I feel like I am saying "spray, gel, gel spray gel! SPRAY? Gel gel!. :laugh

I had this problem too! I thought gel then spray, but I emailed mulberry to ask and they said spray then gel, but that it shouldn't make much difference. I still think gel then spray makes more sense though..
Peaches I always gel first, leave it a couple of minutes and then spray x
Thanks, that's really good to know. I have read some ppl comment that the spray changes the colour and texture of their bags. Have you experienced this?
No, they look darker just after spraying but then dry out. Not noticed significant colour change.
