I took it to leather spa and they said they can't do anything to fix it.

That's a huge surprise! I've seen that type of needed repair posted here a few times, and I was certain that at least one member here used Leather Spa. Plus, it's one of the recommended cobblers on the CL website. I see you've emailed the other place recommended, but they haven't replied yet. I'll also suggest to go back though this thread entirely (I'm assuming you have already) and gather the contact information for additional recommendations in the U.S. Contact all of them to get quotes. Ask for before and after pictures (from those that are not local) and decide which place you feel comfortable with. MM7 is a cobbler that does amazing work. But they are out of the country, and I'm no expert but it just doesn't seem like what looks like a minor repair is worth the cost and time that it would take to have MM7 complete it. I hope you are able to find a place. To answer a question you posted in another thread...PLEASE DO NOT USE NAIL POLISH!!! If you can't or decide not to have it repaired, just leave as is an wear confidently. Shoes are bound to show signs of wear. If anyone is looking that hard or closely to the lower part of your heel and are able to scrutinize it...they have no life and have the mind that equivalent to a heel/hill!

Then my suggestion would be to contact MM7 (Louboutin's official cobbler in Paris) or the Santana Creative. If you search through the CL forum, you'll find examples of their work on repairing heel damage like that of your pair.

I emailed both MM7 and Santana Creative. MM7 is out of the country and doesn't seem worth it to ship it there and back. I'm waiting to hear back from santana. I'll keep you posted!

Thanks for your reply! Leather Spa only tried gluing it down. They said maybe i can try patching it up myself by buying paint or something like that. I emailed a whole bunch of places and they said that they don't have that color patent so can't fix it. MM7 was the only place that could fix it but I don't think its worth it to send it internationally.

You don't think I should use nail polish? lol do you think it will ruin the shoes?

You're right and who cares what anything thinks. im just so upset because i've only worn them twice and i feel like theyre already ruined. Had i had them longer i think i would have been more accepting.

Oh and he said he called before hand and enclosed a note with his phone number saying what he wanted done. They called when they received the shoes and told him what they could do and how much it would cost and they charge when they ship the shoes back to you. HTH

hey! what exactly was wrong with your heel? did you get good results? I want to send somethings to them as well.

Question about Jack's in San Francisco:

So there are 2 Jack's shoe repair places within a few blocks of each other downtown. Which one is the one that you ladies recommend (Sutter or Market)? I'm back in SF for a few weeks, and stepped in a crack and ruined the heel on my simple 100s. Will probably get them vibramed too while they're in.

Thanks!!!

did you ever get your heel fixed? if so, where?

I had that exact issue corrected on my Pigalle 100s and they look fabulous now! Like new! I scrapped the leather off and they became discolored. They patched it and dyed them and you can't even tell now.

I would contact Deluxe Shoe Repair and see if they accept orders that are shipped in.

Hi! I will definitely contact deluxe shoe repair. What color were the heels that were scrapped off? Mine are nude and im so upset :(

Does anyone know how the rates at Leather Spa, Shoe Service Plus and Arty's Shoe Service in NYC compare for putting on Vibrams and filling in nicked heels? My Marilous need some serious TLC after this summer's cobblestoned escapades in SoHo, but my wallet is looking thin to say the least (and I am saving up for some Babel 100s for myslef for Christmas)! Thanks!

Hi did you ever get your nicked heels fixed?

They just moved to a larger building and likely are a bit behind on things....they were swamped when I was there. You can call them at 919-521-8485. I have dealt with Eloise and she is wonderful. Good luck.

S. Fl/ Miami - i found a cobbler in Miami ! I was ready to give up and just drop my shoes off at santana creative in miami (which apparently is just a drop off location - they mail them to NC), and as i was dropping them off, the lady behind the counter noticed my hesitation - i hated the idea of mailing them - couldn't they get lost?! Since I was really apprehensive, she said first check out Bridget's shoe repair on miracle mile, they do good work and it's done at the shop. They didn't have many reviews on yelp, but I thought I'll at least go check them out, and if I'm still not convinced, I'll just come back to santana creative. It's a small shop, but when they showed me a pair they had done-i was impressed! I dropped off 2 pairs of brand new bianca's, and am super happy with the results! I dropped them off last Saturday, and picked them up yesterday, so within a week (even with labor day weekend in the middle). He charged $30/pair for half soles, and they use the red vibram rubber soles.

Hey, just an update - the cobbler that used to do my Louboutins at Bridgets Shoe Repair (in Miami FL ) is NO LONGER THERE. The new mgmt is super disorganized and slow, I can't vouch for this place anymore :(

I strongly recommend Red Soles online!!

They ship a home repair pack/paint internationally , but if you aren't brave enough for that - you can post them your shoes and get them back within 10 days! All soles replaced and re painted...clean and fresh. They even polish up the patent leather :smile1:
