I recently went to Kaner's to get ball of foot pads put under the insoles of a couple of my too-large for me pairs. They do a decent job of this - I've had 3 pairs done now. Today I asked the guy if I could look at an example of their Vibram/Topy work. I must say they do a very fine job (better than my other cobbler based on the example I saw) but they charge $35 per pair. I think I'll take a couple to him and see how he does.

When I take them there and get them back, I'll post comparison pics.

Can I ask what is your review with the red vibram soles at Karners? I also have a gifted pair of simples...and they are a WHOLE size too big....do you think the cobbler can do something about it?

Hello!
I left my Pigalles at La Cordonnerie while in Paris for holidays. They told me the due date was march 30 and that they would send them after that day via FedEx, that I would receive the tracking details via email.

Since I hadn't had any information from them, I sent them an email on Monday. No response. So I sent them another one today...

Should I be worried? Is this normal? Has any of you had this issue with them?

Has anyone ever heard of Everettes Shoe Repair in Claremont, California? It's the closest cobbler to me that had good yelp reviews but I haven't read anything about them fixing CL. Yelpers say they've been in business for 20 years or so....

Hi Ladies. I have read the testimonials about many great cobblers. I have a bit of an unusual question for you. I had left foot surgery last winter and the size of my left foot around the area of the ball of the foot is now slightly larger than it was. I love my Lady Peeps and I need to have the left one stretched in the toe box area to accommodate my slightly larger foot. Has anyone experienced this issue and who would you recommend sending my CLs to for this procedure?

I just found Santana's in Raleigh, NC and they are excellent for such repairs and their turn around is just a matter of a few days...probably faster than you could get them done right there in NYC. Look them up and send your shoes to them if you wish...but...I have seen their work and it is top notch.
