I can't quite describe the leather. I guess the closest one of the textured sides came to a Nikki I have is the Forest Green. At least the pebbled side is like Forest. The other side was completely smooth.

tres--I am SO SORRY to hear this. I was so surprised that LB would send out a bag like this. It really seems like if you get a well made, unblemished bag from RM these days then you're the minority not the majority

Don't worry Baghag, I bet you'll get a lovely and perfect Chocolate. I doubt the black marks are normal, it probably got past QC. I'm crossing my fingers that the new one that comes is in pristine condition --- with the usual leather scuff marks of course. The SA promised me he'd personally inspect the replacement bag before sending it to me. I'm excited for you to get yours...tomorrow, right? Please post pics!

Guys my mint nikki has the SMALLEST little tiny black mark in the center of one side too........... like REALLY REALLY ridiculously tiny but if you study the leather closely you can see it.

Seems strange for this to be a coincidence, no? Do you think they are little marks from making the bag? Or.... what?

That IS strange! I wonder if any more of the newly made bags have that same spot???

I've seen that spot on several bags too.

By the way, I got my Chocolate Nikki from 3 Sirens today and it is perfect! Beautiful, smooth, smooshy leather perfectly matching. Very leathery smelling and a nice, dark rich color like a warm dark oak. Definitely worth waiting for.
Baghag, I'm sure yours will be as wonderful as mine. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you. I think it's 3 Sirens policy to inspect the bags first and only send out the ones that are perfect.:yahoo:

I'm sitting here with Choc. Nikki on my lap to compare the color and the photos seem to have more of a red tone than IRL. What do you think?
