they sure do..... well at least for my Ms. Milky....all of my panels are well matched in both color and texture.So glad that you and Baghag have received word about your bags being on the way, I sure hope you love 'em the way that I do mine.
To me this looks just like the "harewood" sample sale color. The harewood looks lighter in some pics too but i had a MAC and it was just as gorgeous!!

I think the back panels are perfectly matched but that one of the panels on the front is a bit more distressed than the other. If the mismatch were on the back it wouldn't bother me. It's pretty subtle, and some might not notice it, but I'm quite picky about this, especially when paying full price. If I decide I want to keep a chocolate nikki, I will try to exchange it (fortunately I can go to LB to see bags in person).
How can you tell the front from the back on a Nikki? Is the new mixed hardware such that there is a definite front and back?
Can't speak for anyone else here, but I personally consider the "back" the side with the zipper pocket. I wear all my Nikkis with that side closest to my body. Not sure why I started doing that, but that's how I distinguish which side I consider front/back.
Ahhh. Fair enough. I don't personally distinguish a front/back but I tend not to use the pockets in my nikkis at all.
i just received my bag! ugh, the wait is over! whoever described it as "milky chocolate" is correct. it's a really versatile shade. and the gold mixed hardware is really nice. i was never a fan of the chunky signature hardware, so this hybrid/mix of old style with new plating/color is perfect.
not sure about that new nameplate pocket-- what is that for? but i do love the black and white canvas lining, looks gorgeous.
the leather is pebbly, but i think needs to be broken in some. it puddles, but i think once i start lugging stuff around in it, it will soften even more. it's my first nikki, so i'm excited to break her in!
it came with a brown dustbag and a blue RM card, but no Vincent card-- did you ladies get one of those or are those only in the MA bags?
