BTW...if anyone is looking for the large Silverado tote in chocolate...I saw one at NM San Diego (Fashion Valley Mall) today.

Sounds like black will be going back to Nordstrom...

Silverado tote is $1600
Silverado hobo is $1260

Hobo is also available in olive on the BG/NM website (check other colors available)...

OG, I worked retail through my undergrad years and first year of grad school...this sooo brings me back...

Roey, Love your tote!

ET, Thanks...the shoes are working out quite well!

Thanks again, all!

Still have 2 to choose of 3...

Olive is a hobo (silver-tone hardware). The totes are open on the top (black has silver hardware, choco has brass). The hobo has a zipper closure. All have the strap across the top. Shoulder drop is longest on the hobo.

Thanks! What type of work will you be doing in China? Teaching? Research?? My Dad was a professor and consultant and he spent more time in the air than on the ground when I was growing up.

I think the chocolate Tote would love to go to China and see the sights! :)

:D I "trashed" an LV in China last summer...she looked great in pics of the Great Wall, but her new patina did not survive a rainstorm in Beijing. I think choco tote could do on-site work, travel to see the Terracota Warriers, and shop a bit in Shanghai... Before China, she may do Pompei and some sightseeing along the Amalfi Coast of Italy... (Can't wait!) Italy is for my husband's birthday. I will take 25 undergraduate students to China with me in the summer (they receive academic credit for the course, practicum work, and cultural experience).

Note: Olive hobo could go too...so are we liking the hobo more than Gladys?

Oh wow! I can't believe how great those look on you. I stood admiring the Chocolate Tote for an hour and so badly wanted to see someone wear it who could do it justice........ It's the perfect size on you and looks amazing!

And I'm in favor of the Olive hobo as well - the color is really pretty and it looks terrific on you too. Love Gladys, but need over-the-shoulder for traveling definitely.

My vote is strongly for both the Chocolate and the Olive.
(And I'm sorry if I had even a tiny bit to do with this - LOL - you "said" your ears were plugged!!)

I still like the Gladys. I think it's nice just for something different, ya know? So, the choc tote and Gladys:-) The Gladys would be so awesome on your travels too I think coz it's big and roomy and sooo edgy! Like bad biker girl edgy, hahaha. Your students would be impressed;-)

Wow, I envy your impending travel plans! Wanna come to Australia and go shopping with me? I'd have to make sure my CC is fully topped-up first before you come round, lol!

Style...You know I was thinking of you! Had NM send me the choco after your feedback (yeah, the ear plugging didn't work...) and saw black/olive at Nordstrom today... Did not expect to receive the choco until tomorrow, but so glad I could run immediate "comparisons"...

Another random thought...Ever use the term "bedroom shoes"? SerenitySue...you inspired this one...now I am thinking about "bedroom bags"...too bad there is no need for bags in the bedroom...I will think about the "street" instead...one day, she is the hot (or trying to be) biker chick...the next day, slightly cowgirl...and the third, sassy cute one (always think of the paddy as a "cute" bag for some reason)...who will she be next??? Haha, so not me...totally classic with bags and shoes to mix it up... And, I would love to go shopping in Australia...it is definitely on my list of placed to go...

I have sabbatical next year...thinking about many spring travels...

SoCal, does RH have the olive hobo? I like it. I like Gladys, too, but this is a more practical bag. And I am a sucker for shoulder bags!

I have not noticed silverado bags at RH SCP recently...just medium blanc zippy, medium tan pocket, random Betty bags... Then again, the silverado wasn't really on my radar until I read Style's feedback...trying to recall if there were any silverado bags in the back (definitely not olive...)...

I love your python. that is amazing. So I would have easily picked the choco silverado except you have that python. I would get rid of the gladys, it is a pain if it can't go on your shoulder too. The olive tote that zips closed would then be my first choice since you don't have an olive bag and I love that hobo. I may have to order the one in chamois that I saw. I also would love that choco silverado but I have so many brown bags. Maybe I could sell some of my brown bags and justify that beautiful choco silver or better yet that python. But I can't bear to part with any of my bags even if they sit. Luckily, I have daughters who are happy to take them from me. So my pick is sell the python to me and then get the choco silverado. If you don't want to part with the python then get the olive. If you save the python for special occasions get the choco and the olive. The black just didn't phtograph well but I think I'd love this bag in black too. what is the class? Maybe I can send my daughter with you to china. She wants to go to the south of France to do some cave studies for her anthro major but she'd love china too. She's a junior anthro major.
