Dear D Lee! Your are really unbelievable!!! > 50 scarfs in such a short time!! Wow!!!

And you understand me.... Thank you!! :hbeat: - Somehow I knew that you would:

It is not as if I was only visiting page 170. I read through many, many pages of this thread during these last six weeks (and learned a lot about mousse and enjoyed a lot of eye candy!) - So, I laughed with you about going to ban island because of 12 moussies within - was it really three...? ;) - months (and then buying another one quickly :smile1:) and worried with you whether to keep the red mousse or buy a more contrasted one. I totally agreed with you in the end - though the red was beautiful and mystic, I would also prefer a mousse with a more visible design. I was just not aware of this before you started this discussion. Thank you also for this! It will make decisions for me more easy in future.

The PdV you got is just FANTASTIC!! Congrats! :smile1:

Dear Ayala! Thank you so much!! I am very happy to be twins with you!! (And hopefully some day not only for this one... ;))

I dreamed over your "family shot" so many times!! And wondered which one to get next. It is, however, not like going to a boutique and just buying it... It needs FINDING it! It is a treasure hunt really - this is what is getting me again and again. If I will not buy it now - it will just be GONE!

5 cws are WONDERFUL (and only just a little bit nuts for the outside world - but not for us here, right?! ;))

When thinking of buying my second mousse, the SA told me that I should not hesitate as I would only buy one of these in my life, so, that would be okay. - LOL! She obviously did not know me - or this thread for this matter...!

Do you have a favourite one out of your 5 cws? - Please tell us (we will keep quite about it and not breath a word on to your other 4 beauties. Promise! ;) )!

Dear Sammy,
We should be great friends if we are not separated by ocean & continent! I also read thru' every single page of this moussie thread before I got my first moussie! My predecessors here knew so much & they were so informative. Yes, I got dozens of scarves before I branched out into moussies. It was just impractical to wrap a silk scarf around the neck in the sub-tropical heat. Moussies were much better. Hence the acquisition of the dozen moussies within a few months! Wait till u've got a few! U will then find out, as in the cliche, resistance is futile:D

Dear D Lee!
Thank you so much! You are really sweet! Yes, we surely should be great friends! This is what I felt when I read your posts, too! :smile1:

The APdP which I will finally buy tomorrow (yes, yes, yes!!!) will not be my first but my fourth mousse (but the first 1.40x1.40). - So, I have to admit: I am a little bit addicted already - as I was on H scarfs before...

Moussies do work not only in sub-tropical heat (how I envie you...) but brighten and lighten up a day also in cold, grey Germany... ;)

Dear fellow mousse lovers!

New to this forum I posted a first short message this morning just to see if it is working... I am so clumsy with using forums but it worked! :smile1:

Dear hopiko, it was through you that I found this thread - and I am soo happy that I did!!! You posted three photos of your WONDERFUL Aux portes du palais in Jan. last year. I found the same cw while travelling but could not bring myself to buy it there and then...

Would anybody of you know how this feels....? Finding such a treasure but leaving it behind and then lusting after it for weeks and weeks... Torture, indeed!! ;)

However, looking at hopikos photos helped to ease the pain (page 170! - sorry, do not know yet how to add this in here otherwise). So, thank you sooooo much!!!

On Thursday I will finally have MINE... :yahoo: I just can't wait and will need to visit page 170 a few more times until then... Is this normal...?? ;)

So glad I could help and even more glad that you were able to track it down. This is a very special cw and the changeant effect in this one in particular is mesmerizing. I am traveling on business right now and happen to have brought that moussie with me and will be wearing it to the office tomorrow! :D

Can't wait to see your modeling pix! Congrats!

I empathize with u & know exactly how it feels. I bought rather indiscriminately when I first started collecting scarves. It was less than a yr when I accummulated >50 scarves. This couldn't go on forever & so I eventually restricted myself to 1 scarf/design. I then looked at the photos of the cws I lusted but left behind & sulked!

You are too funny! I am with you....so many moussies....can't take them all but so painful to leave some behind.

Dear hopiko, then we will both be wearing this beauty tomorrow!! :D Wishing you a successful trip! - However, with such a mousse around your neck what could possibly go wrong...?!

Will also be travelling from tomorrow onwards and will try to post modeling pix thereafter... Not yet sure how to attach them (really clumsy with these things, as I said...). And the pix you posted are definitely the BEST! You really brought out the colours and light and even the changeant magic of this cw so perfectly - well, the beautiful background also helped... ;) Which reminds me - I think, I need to go back to page 170 one more time... ;)

APdP is such a beautiful moussie. Ï just opened my mouth in awe when I first saw Chestnutty model hers! I must congratulate u for locating one. Do post mod shots here so we can all share your joy!

I also saw your APdP but they were all sold out at the local boutique. We don't have an H.com here & I was not technologically savvy enough to bid on ebay:laugh:. So I bought this one instead as a consolation prize.

Oh, I think, I made it... I am able to quote now! ;) So, maybe I will indeed be able to post a mod shot as well when I am back home again (in about two weeks). ;)

Not sure how easy it is to find moussies in the US? - In Germany there are few available, especially in winter (probably due to the weather, cashmere might make more sense...) - but they are also not so often sold, because: When you go to an H boutique here, the SA is not offering a mousse voluntarily, you need to ask for it! And then the drawer will be opened for you - and the treasures are there! At least sometimes...

We are sisters at heart! I am also not able to bid on ebay... ;) But frankly, I am also always worried if what they are selling there is the REAL H. And now I also learned from one of the posts here that the feel of the fabric might change when washed/ironed etc. So, for the price we are paying for these beauties I'd like to be on the safe side and see it IRL.

Your consolation prize is beautiful, indeed!!! And not just a consolation prize! :smile1:

Patiently waiting for your mod shot!:smile1:

Congrats, D Lee, I have this one too, and I adore it! Isn't it a beauty?
I find the color combination most interesting! In fact, I almost always sleep on it when it comes to the purchase of scarf. Yet this is one of the few scarves I made up my mind on the spot.

Thx Sammy! I believe moussies could be snagged rather easily. So it is best to observe it IRL in the store prior to purchase!;)
Yes, I love the CdF pattern. I have 6 scarves from this design.
