Fellow moussies, I had been doing such a good job of keeping myself from peeking into this thread, having realized I went a liiiiiiiiittle bit crazy with mousse-buying after I first got hooked on them. Mousselines often don't show to advantage in H pics or even reseller pics, so staying away from the shots in this thread help ease temptation. Out of sight, out of mind, right?

But unfortunately, memories of pretty mousselines are hard to shake, and I have an especially strong memory of blue and green things from Pierina's closet... so when I saw these come up, I immediately thought of her modeling shots and had to have them! That's Naissance d'un Idee on the left and La Treve de l'Eau on the right.

So I'm here to confess my sins, and now that I'm here, of course I've seen the gorgeous blue and copper Peuple du Vent, the olive and fuschia colorways of Guepards... oh dear. :sweatdrop:

Thank you for sharing your beautiful sins, calexndre, makes us feel better about our own moussie-indescreations!

Two of the most gorgeous blue mousselines dear Calexandre. Love the calligraphy on the Naissance. Swoonworthy silk investments!

dear calexandre, I always describe my love affair with H moussies as a road of no return! Once you're hooked, there's no going back! Ï have acquired more moussies that I can possibly wear in this life yet I still want more! Oh dear!

So very pretty - both are exceptional. I have zero Mousse. Tried on a mousse stole last summer but didn't love it. Perhaps, it was the format.

Dear mousseline lovers, I hope you can help me. I own a Giverny mousseline in yellow, and this colorway is really wrong on me. I'm considering trying to sell it, except I have no idea what it's worth! I don't know how much mousseline PM are sold (new) compared to twill silk, as there are none currently on H.com. And I have no idea if this design (and this cw) is rare. I'm surprised to see there are so few mousseline on the resale market.
Any help would be greatly appreciated (pics to come as soon as I have sunny weather!)

Presenting color 6: the gris/marine/chartreuse coloration of PdV. I asked a friend to pick it up for me from the store and, therefore, didn't see the actual color before the purchase.

I'm not sure how I feel about it yet.

I was dazzled by the first color I bought (color 11), but now that I see that the grey backgrounds are so similar, I am somewhat deflated.

I was expecting a lot more chartreuse. I'm not sure if it is worth keeping both.

Which one would you keep?

My vote is for cw 11. Still waiting for my SA to track this one down. I had tried the blue/copper and the blanc/rose cws and they did nothing for me. The bright fuchsia cw was beyond lovely but I already own two moussies in that color. Trying to behave!

Of the two, I'd keep the one on the left (the one with green, red and purple). I will usually always pick blue over green, but the one on the right falls a little flat, IMO.
