I saw and tried 3 colourways of the Carre Kantha mousseline today :

red - the colourway is tonal but the red was just way too bright for my liking eventhough its described as rouge vif. I was so hoping this would be the one.

And I was expecting the mousselines to be really soft and drape-y but it felt rather stiff instead. It just felt different from the Cirque Mollier ones I tried few months ago.

Trying to decide whether to keep my red one. Not so much as to the color, but the design.:wondering My first Kantha design piece.:p

I agree with you about the texture of the mousselines; my other ones are much "softy and drape-y":shrugs:

my contribution today

The Rayures Mexicaines mousseline looks great on you, bornfree!

Just had to post that the Rayures Mexicain in CW 01 finally came home with me the other day! This is my first (argh - but not my last!) mouselline GM!

It was pictures such as this that made me fall in love with it! It is so beautiful. My local H store doesn't order many mousse GM's and they had to track it down for me. When I came in to get it and was trying it on, two shoppers in the H store were admiring it and asking me if I was going to get it. They would have snatched it had I not!

sin vergüenza – Very much congratulations to your first mousseline shawl! :yahoo: :D
I am very happy that my contribution in this thread helped you to determine to get this shawl.

bornfree – I like your casual look and the Rayures is like a dream on you.

Raz – I found a tiny Hermès mark on a bukcle pin. Maybe you have to use a magnifier to see it!

Here is a casual look with Rayures the other day. It goes with black, too, I think. :p
