Hi Everyone! I haven't checked in for quite some time and after seeing the recent pics in this thread my heart is racing. Love the Rayeurs, the Kantha and, in a class of her own, Ms. Piggy--OUTSTANDING in your Toile d'H. For my wardrobe this Lalbhai is now top of my wish list. I've been craving a mousse in purples and none of the recent models have been 'right' for me and this model had completely slipped my radar. Thanks pierina for posting and enjoy this beauty. I know it's gorgeous on you.
So...this is my new grail mousse (and I think it was issued in green too which I would also love). A new love...

The colors of this mousseline make me gasp with delight! Positively stunning. :D

May I ask anyone who owns the Sulfures mousseline shawl to tell me how the white "baubles" are coloured? For the version that I have seen up close, it looked to me like they had been "painted" on. Would this be an issue with cleaning?

I can try - the changeant differs from the regular mousselines in that they change color depending on the light. Not that you have to go into a dark room or something (LOL), but as the fabric moves, the light makes it look like different colors. THey usually "rotate" between two colors - pink and gold for example. They are absolutely gorgeous IRL but very difficult to photograph. The regular mousselines have sort of a "flat" finish. Crepe is a completely different type of silk - thicker and less diaphanous than mousseline but not as stiff or heavy as a silk twill. (Hope that helps!)
