My friend told me that her SA said because of the Las Vegas Bellaggio re-opening in a few months, Chicago received less bags than expected (I guess they are holding those bags for Vegas since they are expecting more clientele). I was offered a picotin but unfortunately declined.

Are there usually more quota bag offers during the holidays?

Thanks! I kinda figured. I know everyone's "journey" is different but thought its nice to share information. I was mainly asking because my friend did not get invited and I told her to just to increase her spending to get "noticed" and mentioned at least it won't be high has NYC. I think shes used to the good ol days. LOL
I wouldn’t encourage spend just to be invited to a party at a store. I don’t count what I spend anywhere because I’d rather not be faced with the reality of my own actions but I’ve been a customer for more than a decade and primarily a RTW customer. I’m definitely not VIP. I was told that “corporate” made the decision on who to invite as space was limited.

Thanks and I concur! I think my friend feels because the "game" has changed since she started..way back in the early 1990s..shes been a loyal customer..just buying as needed..she shouldn't have to play the "game". She says her SA (shes been thru multiple) doesn't take the time to help her..perfume..makeup, etc. I explained these days one has to play the bigger picture game. Another acquaintance of mine was invited and I saw her video of the cocktail party..she said the same..it was tight list..she does spend ALOT and got SO the next day at her private appt.

Can someone shed light on how different the original boutique is from prior the remodeling? I was told that the 3rd floor used to be Vera Wang but is now a VIP room which is massive and very spacious. I was told that there was only one changing room on the second floor, is that normal? Does the space look a lot different than before? Can't tell if the second floor looked a little cramped or it's because there were a lot of people during the opening. Thanks!

The biggest change is the addition of the 3rd floor, which is meant to be a VIP floor for private appointments - it has a small bar, chairs and tables, and racks that would be prepared for the person who will have the appointment. There is a long table where I assume special bag offers may be made.

For the other two floors, which were always a part of the boutique since it originally opened at that location, they re-oriented the space and added a lot of different storage and display areas. They also redid the spiral stairs in a manner that opened the space. It feels more spacious but they did not add more square footage - that is, they did not expand into the store next door. They may have increased the floor space and decreased the “back room” space, but I don’t know for sure - it’s possible it looks bigger because of the way they reoriented the layout and added display areas. It certainly looks like more fits in the store and there is more inventory for men’s (now on the 1st floor) for sure. I’m not sure of the changing areas. I saw the VIP dressing room the night of the party, and during my appointment I tried on RTW in a dressing room on the 2nd floor, but I don’t know if that’s the only dressing room for use for the 1st and 2nd floor customers. The space does look quite different with lots of nice details.

There’s a dressing room on 1st floor now near the Men’s RTW area. My husband tried on some stuff in there.
