Just saying, if you look at the posting that, that was way back in '06 or '07 by now the prices in OZ and the US are relatively quite similar!
I was pricing Saumur mm, and I planned to get it in London. From my calculations, it seems the France and UK price is about the same, after using google conversion.
gbp 780 = 1187.86 US Dollar
euro 910 = 1175.54 US Dollar
usd 1340
So to me it seems like UK price is only slightly higher by $12?? Am I missing something?

Really?! do they use the vat refund in Italy? Is there one in Venice? Florence? Does anyone know? I am going to Italy and interested? Responses appreciated

I'll point out if you're in the North America region. It's sometimes cheaper here in Canada than it is in the US. Not sure why, and it's not always as a rule. But a few items we've looked at and bought have been cheaper in Toronto.
Keep in mind, some states have no taxes, and if the item is under your duty limit on return. Buying in the US is 13% cheaper due to no tax. =D

Not true. France and Belgium have the same prices and Germany and Holland are above that. Check the website.
I live in Europe (Sweden to be exact) and i'm going to NYC in June - is it safe to say it's cheaper to buy my first LV bag here than in the US?
The only and nearest LV store here is a 4 hour drive away, so i'm thinking it might not matter? Since the price difference hopefully won't be much more than i'd have to pay for gas to get to the store in my country LOL. I really want to see the bags in person so NYC might be the best bet?
