I don't sell on ebay or anything, however, I have bought bags there and I have seen sellers ACTUALLY pay up to 30.00 on shipping for a heavy bag. That particular bag she is selling would not cost that much to ship BUT for heavier bags that include signature confirmation and insurance it is possible to pay a lot.

Clarifying:
I was talking about http://www.ebay.com/itm/Coach-Madis...WH_Handbags&hash=item337b743833#ht_500wt_1198 that was originally brought up in the deals thread.

Yeah - I saw a bag selling for 0.99 a while back with $300 shipping. Isn't that a reportable offense? Either way, USPS flat rate boxes are up to $15 or so depending on size. Free tracking if they pay online, and insurance is unlikely to be $15. Not a good practice IMO even if it's not reportable...

Yeah, it is reportable. I love the sellers that don't realize they have to pay exactly the same amount of FVF if they do that than if they sold the item for $300.99 with free shipping.

I was looking at an item, but I think shill bidding might be going on. Thoughts?

Here's the item link:

Here's the one particular bidder that has bid on this item and looks like all or most of the seller's other items.

Also some interesting negative feedback. The whole "I won this item and seller relisted" deal. I suppose if you can get a good price for the bag and the seller ends up actually shipping it out, it would be a good deal. :P

Someone in the Coach Finds thread asked if the Coach Factory eBay 48 hour sale had some FP deletes.

I'll be honest: I have only been a coach fan for about 3 weeks - My friend Tisha dragged me kicking and screaming into a Coach store and I walked out with a Madison Champagne leather embossed case for my phone and a slight want for more which grew into now owning 2 bracelets, leather/cashmere gloves, the universal case and a large wristlet. I really want Juliette and am saving up for her.

ANYWAY....

I had my eyeballs on the Madison embossed metallic leather large wristlet with chain...

... which I just bought from the eBay 48 hour sale for $69.

There may be more FP deleted but in my 3 weeks of putting Coach into my brain, I haven't quite memorized their inventory and 15 pages of stuff is a lot to go through!

They also have the Madison Python Maggie http://reviews.coach.com/9059/104873/coach-madison-embossed-metallic-python-maggie-reviews/reviews.htm

for $297

Let's see.. they have:

19325 coach python Kristen ($297)
18932 Maggie in metallic ($189)

There are probably more but I am no expert by any means!

Lol - I always wondered if the shipping is calculated in the FVF or not. I guess that answers it! Thanks for the info! :smile1:

Big bags won't fit into flat rate boxes. I HATE when sellers smash bags into flat rate boxes. With some leathers the creases don't come out afterwards.
But $300 shipping that is laughable. ha!
