Hey there - I found a poppy sequin drawstring bag at Macy's today. One of my friends has been looking for it, so I was going to give it to her but i realized after I got home that it doesn't have the crossbody strap. It was on sale for a great price so I hate to return it but she may not want it without the longer strap.

Does anyone know if she can get a new one from Coach if she wants the longer strap?

What color is it? Sometimes you can get them on ebay. I think you can get one from Coach but I'm not sure. There is an ebay seller that sells replacement straps for Coach. If it is black, it will be easy to match. Replacement straps cost upwards of $20, I think. How much did you get it for, if you don't mind my asking? My Macy's didn't have them. I bought mine on ebay and it didn't come with the strap either but I have plenty of other straps that would work.

Thanks so much, whateve! I actually need to call Macys first because they told me the strap was inside, but I didn't check first. I think it was a double return because there are two return labels that are partially removed plus the new return label.

I'll try to contact Coach first and then will try to find it on eBay.

It's gold and was on sale for $189!

Update:

Called the Macy's where purchased and they told me they didn't have any extra straps. Also called all Macy's in the area along with a few around the country who might have had a full match to no avail. Called the Coach stores in the area also to no avail (one even suggested that Macy's wasn't allowed to sell the bag unless it included all the necessary parts). Not sure if that's true, but interesting.

Then I called the factory stores in the area (within 200 miles) and it sounds like one may have a match. They agreed to hold it till the end of the month since I'm leaving for a business trip this week (typing furiously before they shut the airplane door!!).

I'll have to drive about an hour to check it out, but I hope it matches!!
