How this seller could claim this bag is GOOD CONDITION is beyond me. It goes against Vestaire's own definition of "good" - attached.
FAIR would be more accurate.
Covetable bag but will never be the same even after a $$$ trip to LMB.
Hey, it is in good condition!
Aside from the fading. And the holes. And the cracked mirror. And the water stains on the bottom.
But other than that...

While I agree on its condition -- no way thats good -- I disagree about a trip to LMP being pricey
It only cost me $350 to restore my Dark Turquoise City. Combined with the offer the seller accepted, I wound up paying a remarkably fair price for such an iconic/rare bag
I guess "pricey" depends on the means of the buyer. Personally I think $350 is a lot of money to fix a bag and my assumption for this bag is that it will cost much more than that to restore. The handles alone will most likely cost that much. I just had the single handle replaced on a Day Bag and that cost $250.

Whatever LMB prices are, I think this bag will never be the same in terms of color, texture and leather quality. Those edges are missing huge chunks of leather, there is massive staining and fading. It won't be the same, even with an LMB miracle.

Whoever buys this bag - and I hope someone does salvage it - they have a long and expensive road ahead.

Did your restoration involve sealing up large tears and holes in the leather? If so, $350 is a great price.

 full handle replacement, corner repairs and color restoration (which I didn’t request & wasn’t expecting)

Oh wow, they did a color correction without your consent?? In your opinion, did it change the texture of the bag?
I once had a dark turquoise city that had a color restoration and I didn't like it - it completely changed the feel of the bag, so I sold it. This was over a decade ago, so possibly LMB's techniques have improved since then.

It was definitely an improvement. Looks and feels like a brand new bag. Its not as spongey as some vintage Balenciagas, but its silky soft & has broken in nicely

S/S 2010 Black Noir Craquele LE 10th Anniversary Neiman Marcus Black City for a very decent price!

Hope someone here snags this and posts it. Craquele is a super lovely finish.

Also hope this is snagged but just note the lack of mirror and it is missing 1 tassel.

I can’t believe TRR actually posted a pic of the tag. By accident, but, still…

Whoever bought that — thank you!:ty:
I was so temped & came close to buying it, but have more Firsts than I need/use
If the price has been as low as other Firsts they’ve had recently, would have been a different story!

Everything improves I imagine.

Mine didn't need heavy work. I kept it for years, never carried...and it just needed handles cleaned and spot touch up and spa. I was worried even that would change the " silky butter like " leather.

I managed to get a practical blood oath from Barbara that ifnshe couldn't pull off touching it up.and the handles ...she would leave it as is.

Needless to say I still sweated sending it off finally along with another treasure that had come to me fairly matte that I wanted the "shine" restored to without making it stiff.

She pulled off both amazing tasks.

The Dark turquoise is a wonder to see and feel, and looks new but broken in and puddles when empty like my great 04 Black...and the other one the had it's shine resorted is soft and pliable.

Barbara is an artist of leather!

And I'm getting ready to throw the gauntlet down again with color restoration of an accessory, a true test. But I'm beyond confident she can pull this off too.
She's very honest if there is something she doesn't think she can do. She's the best!
