It was definitely an improvement. Looks and feels like a brand new bag. Its not as spongey as some vintage Balenciagas, but its silky soft & has broken in nicely

I guess we would need to see more examples of this "run" of this particular color of 04. And what are the chances of that?

Remember many black 04 cities are "thinner " (for lack of a better descriptive, the leather isn't "thin", but it's nothing like say an 05 Apple that is the thickest, spongy, puffy feeling chevre I've ever felt on any Bal) and crazy silky and smooth-is, although still wrinkly.

This DT leather definitely leans more in the 04 Black direction,.and is as divine as it's color saturation.

At first glance, it looks amazing, but look closely -- there's a lot of wear they don't describe (stains inside, wear to the top edge of the bag, tassels discolored + its missing the mirror)

I wonder the same thing but was nervous 😓 to post.. how do you know? The thinness of the tassels perhaps? The rivets on bald handle with no notch?
