@whateve here's a pic of her when I received her, hopefully you can see the coppery metallic sheen. According to one of the authenticators here way back when, some of the older Bals did that, it's like something oxidized in the original colour.

My gut says no, it isn’t painted. If it was, they did a great job because imo matching Bleu Lavande is a tough feat. It could just be recently conditioned. My BL first was beautifully saturated in color, but the leather was very dry. Could be the same thing here?
