It's gotten ridiculous. I'm out.
Same. My buying has slowed to a trickle and fast approaching a full stop. Probably the universe telling me to save money for the Rodeo, which costs about as much as 6 ~ 10 months of my moto habit. Another 5.5 months of austerity and I can afford a Rodeo. That timeline can shorten if I sell some neglected bags.
Me too , completely out. I had a great streak and got some realy pretty gorgeous bags and i have to tell myself that this is it, happy to have them
Prefer pre-loved. I hate paying full price. But if I stay on ban island for 5+ months, I will buy new if I can't find pre-loved.

I just sold the same bag (not THAT bag, but same size/color/season) for <$1k last month. Much less. And it was a negotiated price & it was in better condition
I honestly haven’t seen many firsts selling for $1k+ unless they’re HTF rarities & even then. That Eggplant 1st is STILL available. Its also missing its strap. Look at 03 Lilac on Vinted thats missing its strap. Its still there a month later at $500
I just wonder how long these sellers are willing to hold out at these prices.
There’s a NWT 05 Khaki Work on VC thats been listed since March for more than $2k. After shipping, taxes, duties it would be around $3k. I don’t see anyone paying that these days

Lately I’ve been sharing deals from the same era as some of these Bbags over in the Marc Jacobs forum that are going for <$100 (there’s one NWT on TRR for $108!

The quality of bags from that time period doesn’t even come close to the quality of most bags sold these days. And these are bags that originally retailed for the same price as our most sought after Bbags. Funny how one designer’s vintage bags can garner prices 10-20x the price of other designers, who were equally as popular & in demand.

Priceless have gone up like crazy, but I'm fairly sure this is also the JP proxy sellers getting greedy. Both are substantially cheaper here, when I see bags listed in Japan I try & find them on Mercari/Buyer because it works out so much cheaper.

Thanks for the info @Brits'n'Pieces - what an eye opener! I recall some posts mentioning prices were cheaper on Japan’s Mercari site, but this is a great reminder. I found the same bag on Mercari that I recently purchased on eBay. I paid a couple hundred dollars more, so I guess it wasn’t too bad, considering some of the more popular and rare bags could go for double (or more!). But thanks to your tips, I will definitely be more aware and compare prices.
