The croc embossed bags that I've seen have the regular cloth lining.
I thought the same thing due to the leather lining (most designers’ exotics are lined with leather)
but then I found this on Fashionphile and I’d think they’d know the difference between real croc and embossed croc

I believe all Neo Classics are lined in leather.

I too have seen some from 2006 looking like genuine croc and lined in cloth. The one currently listed in CV is from 2015. I think some of us are sensing that it must be real croc since they don't line embossed croc with leather [EDIT to clarify that I mean standard style cities/firsts/works, not the styles that are already always lined in leather, such as the Neo Classics and Hourglass], not that they never line real croc in cloth. I'm leaning towards the VC listing being real croc.^^ This looks like a mini city, not a classique to me. But is the lined in leather new? I was just thinking the same, we need someone who owns a croc to chime in. I thought it was a big difference too compared to deco's found bag. Plus I'm sure the seller would list for more if it was an exotic.
I've seen people not realize they had authentic croc list it as embossed before. But I trust @jbags07, she loves exotics.
