Charlie Sheen

I think Charlie is talented but SMH for this man. Obviously he has a lot of issues. Most of his shenanigans make it hard for me to separate the ~person~ from the ~artist~ and I've come to a point where he just pisses me off.

He seems like a high functioning addict and probably won't ever stop. It really annoys me that people like him and Lindsay Lohan get chance after chance to change their ways but keep on getting themselves in the same situations. Honestly if anyone else in the world has done what Charlie Sheen did, they'd be fired from their job by now. The CBS executives have said that he's doing his job well but please...

Addiction is a terrible disease. Surely people don't think he WANTS to live like this. It's not as easy as some people think it is. Clearly he has major issues. He's hit rock bottom so many times now that a lot of addicts would turn it around. . . . I don't think we'll ever see a sober Charlie. His rock bottom will be death I think.
I'm positive all his loved ones have sort of made peace that at anytime they can expect the worst phone call - it's a protective defense mechanism. It's terribly painful for loved ones.

the co star said he had to read TMZ to know whats going on with charlie....he was joking...but at the same time ...

Yeah Jon Cryer was on Conan Wednesday night and of course Charlie was brought up. Awkward but I have to admit that I laughed at what he said when I watched it that night:

"I'm checking TMZ, as I do every day, to check if I have to go to work at all"

It's one of those things that's funny because it has truth to it.

At the end of the day, I just think it's sad and it does show you how strong addiction is.

I feel the same away about Charlie Sheen that I feel about Lindsay Lohan -- they've had chance after chance after chance to prove that they're serious about wanting to change, yet they both choose to continue doing the very things that got them into trouble in the first place. I find it hard to "root" for either one of them as it seems obvious (to me) that they have no desire to change their ways

My son and I used to watch Two and a Half Men every week - it was one of the few shows we'd watch together and laugh out loud at at. I stopped recording it last season and haven't watched it in almost a year. He doesn't make me laugh any more.

I'm with you...

I wonder if it would do him better if he gets overdosed and ends up with debilitating aftermaths like stroke or renal shutdown necessitating dialysis. Maybe these will wake him up and and turn him around. He keeps bouncing back and thinks he's okay so he keeps doing what he's doing.

The indomitable Charlie Sheen is back in recovery mode. But not like that.
While speculation abounded in the wake of the Two and a Half Men star's health scare yesterday that the actor may once again be going off the rails (even as a [perfectly plausible] medical explanation surfaced for his emergency room trip), Sheen's rep denied rumors that the sitcom star would be seeking out any rehabilitation.
Instead, and rather surprisingly, he'll be heading straight to…
Work!

"Charlie Sheen left the hospital last night and is at home," his rep told E! News. "He will be on the set of Two and a Half Men on Tuesday."
On the one hand, this is very good news for Sheen's health. On the other hand, that means he's got another long weekend to get through.
Yesterday an ambulance was called to the actor's home at 6:35 a.m. and took Sheen to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. His rep said that the 45-year-old was suffering from "severe abdominal pain."
Speculation as to the cause of that pain ran the gamut from his hernia to fallout from a rumored two-day bender. Whatever the culprit, father Martin Sheen and ex Denise Richards both rushed to his side at the hospital, and while both kept relatively mum about their visits, sources told E! News that Sheen is expected to be just fine.

Addicts need to chase that high harder and harder. I shudder to think what's ahead for Charlie. He appears incapable of handling any free time at all. God forbid he should spend any time with his children. Then again, I might wrap the kids in Hazmat suits before they go near him.

^^the statement that *Sheen is expected to be just fine* is ridiculous. In whose universe is this behavior fine?

Charlie Sheen Enters Rehab (EXCLUSIVE)
Charlie Sheen has “voluntarily entered rehab [at] an undisclosed rehabilitation center today,” his rep tells Gossip Cop in a statement.

“He is most grateful to all who have expressed their concern.”

“Mr. Sheen asks that his privacy be respected at this time and that no additional information will be provided.”

Yesterday, the actor was admitted to the hospital after a 36-hour party that allegedly involved porn stars and a “briefcase full of cocaine.”
