Director is in his little description about him. We never know what someone else is thinking or whether or not the person who wrote it is thinking. He certainly has some of the qualifications for becoming a director. Anyway, it is just my opinion that he has the abilities. What are you basing your statement on, BagBerry13? Hard to make a definite statement if you don't know the person.

LeeLooDallasMP, You are certainly right about the bland. That is what surprises me about actors, etc., who say they don't want recognition. If it becomes too bland, fans tend to find other outlets.

What description are you talking about? All the usual outlets name him as actor and writer, nothing else.

As I wrote before I base my statement on the interview Charlie did for the Nerdist podcast last summer in which he stated he doesn't feel like director is something he wants to do because it's too much.

Oh well!

If you believe everything you read, people would have 4 legs and 3 arms.

I have read several things about him that I didn't believe!!!! The pages like face book, etc., have described him as an "actor/director." Where do you suppose that came from? Who am I to argue with those that know him better than ?

He has such a determine personality that I believe he could do what he decides to do.

Here's a quote from Charlie's "Man of the World" interview.

"Charlie Hunnam's big dream now is to direct a small film in England for "no money at all" starring "Sons Of Anarchy's" costar Tommy Flannagan. Despite his success Charlie is careful not to sound to optimistic about starting his directing career. "If it's good then it's good, if not I chuck it and go on..."

Opinions are always subject to change only time will tell I guess.

AGAIN, I heard it from the man's lips. What am I supposed to do? Questioning him too? And given that the Nerdist podcast is more recent than the Man of the World interview I believe he already has changed his mind.

And guys, seriously, you should stop taking everything for gospel that is written on Everything Charlie Fan Page. Since there are only two Facebook sites about Charlie it shouldn't be hard picking the right one (if you're so into Facebook).
And btw, to create a FB site for an actor you can only choose actor/director as an option so it's not like they purposefully put that there.

I think that most of us have been fans of someone for quite a while and certainly we are about Hollywood as we are about politics - we don't believe most of it. Certainly, as I said before, nobody knows it all. Many actor say what they feel needs to be said at the time.

Guess I am saying, instruction at this late date is out of date.

Nobody is an expert on another person. We only give our ideas, as you do, and we do not presume that we are entirely right. Guess we are all like Will Rogers - we only believe what we read on the computer, etc.

The Nerdist podcast was a good interview and I wish he would do another. Does it seem like there have been fewer interviews since he dropped out of 50 Shades?

I would love to see him do an interview with People or Rolling Stone. Not some piece of fluff but something in depth. Maybe those mag are to invasive for his taste eh?

^^Charlie is only doing interviews when he promotes his movies or SoA. Since Pacific Rim last year there was no need for any new interviews hence no interviews so far.

Rolling Stone yes but I don't believe he'd do an interview for People. That's tabloid in his eyes.

Alright, hi Lorinn girl, I'm chiming in here. You seem to have missed the point Bag is making, she didn't say your idea was wrong, she simply gave you the info based on CH words himself, a live interview from last summer (urgh dude lost his accent), nothing more nothing less, and he said he'd rather be focused on the acting/writing option. Yeah the idea of him being a director seems cool, but that's another level of pressure, hence why one can understand he may not be keen. Perhaps he may change his mind in the future but that's the last update, CH said he didn't want to do directing, it's how he feels. :shrugs:

Hypothetically, if there were to be a directing debut, a SoA episode would come to mind imo...

I'm so hoping he's gaining that back a bit through the time he's working with Tom now. I'd love hearing him speak in a thick accent again. :graucho:

Yesssssss!!!! I like them UK and Irish accent very much so :graucho:

If Guy Ritchie was still the Guy Ritchie from Snatch and Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, I say they would have made a good film together, CH being one of them eccentric characters.

Yeah totally.
I know everyone's complaining about his accent in Green Street but damn I loved it. And if I remember correctly he had one in Children of Men too.
It's just a huge difference if a Brit says "Darling" or an American. :amuse:
