Super true... mine was totally fine when I first got it, FWIW.

I wouldn't have been too happy had it been creased upon delivery, but it only got creased 6 months later out of my own negligence.

OP, @33ng, you shouldn't *have* to settle for a $8,800 handbag that you aren't 8,800% happy with!

(I was just trying to give tips in case you were fine with figuring out a way to lessen the crease.)
Yes, I get what you were saying and you offered some great advice (which advise on how to get rid of it is what the poster asked for)! It is totally different when the crease has been created by you but for it to come directly from the store like that is not acceptable. I’m typically not one to go over my bags with a magnifying glass and miss most of the things that people find lol. However, this one is too in my face and it seems like it would quickly end up like those poor cfs where the structure is completely gone and is saggy! A structurally bad cf is a huge no no for me be it $1500 or $15000

I was curious if everyone’s caramel bags were made in France? Between the hearts and my mini caramel being made in France, I’m curious if they are ramping up production there or if they are doing their most desired seasonal items there now too? For a while a lot of items I bought or saw were made in Italy with the exception of the CFs
My heart and mini caramel square are both made in France. I know it doesn't matter to most, but when I leave the boutique with a MIF piece, there's an extra bit of bounce in my step

Store it laying flat in the dust bag (lying on its back so that it doesn't have gravity working against it, like flat so that the back pocket is against the shelf or table or wherever) with the chains in the top of the dust bag and the tissue paper pillow inside supporting it.

Mine looked awful when I immediately unpacked, like, a week into my trip (before photo below; like the bag, I was also crushed when I discovered it), but then looked fine a few days after letting it rest on its back and now looks totally fine (after photo; my blinds are half open, so it doesn't look that glossy aha, the corners are still a little creased, but I also know that in time, the corners will still sustain some normal wear & tear, so I'm OK with that after seeing how banged up my caviar jumbo is after 14 years).

Just make sure to store it laying flat on its back, not standing up... Standing up is more convenient for closet space, but just while it works the wrinkles out, clear a little space for it. :flowers:

wow thats a really good outcome!! restored perfectly! you must have been so shocked to see it like that in the left picture. did you roll up tshirts thick enough so there is pressure against the front side of the bag? so far, the tissue paper pillow doesn't seem to do much

Please stop asking the SA questions and doing things to try to rectify it. The SA will tell you those things to get you to not return. If you aren’t happy with the bag just simply return the bag and try to get a different one especially since you don’t mind waiting. This is too much work to put in for a brand new bag that you are unhappy with. Furthermore manipulating it more just means it will be more used for the next person that possibly accepts the bag in its current condition. Just return/exchange it since you are not happy with it. Take it to the SA that you got it from. Tell them that you aren’t happy with the wrinkles and going forward prefer wrinkled free bags only. This helps the sa to learn you as well so they know not to give you this type of bag going forward.
i definitely went into the store to ask for an exchange but was basically told this is normal so theres no point if you want a lambskin CF, this is what you have to deal with- also the unfortuantely thing is that i purchased it overseas so i can't deal with the same SA it was bought from and i don't think they want to deal with the exchange here since i didn't buy it in their store- but chanel is global and the service should be consistent regardless of where you are IMO :hrmm:
