Does anyone have advice on this type of wrinkling? I was able to FINALLY get my hands on a lambskin CF from italy (made in france piece) and there is this wrinkle on the lower part of the bag. I'm worried the crease will deepen more over time and effect the structure of the bag. it's brand new, so shouldn't have this right? I understand leather is all different but still I wouldn't expect it to have this creasing... what are your thoughts? I was so excited to get the bag and now not sure because it was sooooo expensive!

Store it on its back flat with the chains inside, and something padding the inside (like a clean balled up t-shirt or two) to give it some shape again, and the creases should ease up in a few days.

... I accidentally packed mine standing up in a carry on bag and the same thing happened.

If it really annoys you, then yes I agree with other posters, try to return it... :flowers:

Congratulations on your new classic handbag, either way!!!

thanks ill try that! i did pack it with tissue paper and and had it standing to see if it would come out but it hasnt... i think its wrinkling in the actual leather because the bag has been in its box the whole time and protected... the SA at chanel tells me that all leathers are different and some will have wrinkling but because its at the front of the bag i can't get passed it :(

Nope. I would absolutely exchange it or return and wait for another one. I tolerate superficial wrinkles here and there as that is inevitable with lambskin. But Yours is a deep wrinkle and goes across multiple stitches and might get worse in time. PS, do not feel any guilt or shame for exchanging. It’s not your fault, it came with a wrinkle that could turn structural in a few years.

thanks for the advice- i went to a boutique and the SA there told me its leather so they all have differences and that this is normal- she made a tissue paper pillow and said to keep it stuffed when stored- i have been doing that but i can still see the wrinkle badly :( but because the SA told me this is normal i didnt know what else to say at the time. i think i will take it to a different boutique and talk to a different SA there..hopefully they will be willing to help me. im happy to wait for another one as long as its wrinkle free!

Store it laying flat in the dust bag (lying on its back so that it doesn't have gravity working against it, like flat so that the back pocket is against the shelf or table or wherever) with the chains in the top of the dust bag and the tissue paper pillow inside supporting it.

Mine looked awful when I immediately unpacked, like, a week into my trip (before photo below; like the bag, I was also crushed when I discovered it), but then looked fine a few days after letting it rest on its back and now looks totally fine (after photo; my blinds are half open, so it doesn't look that glossy aha, the corners are still a little creased, but I also know that in time, the corners will still sustain some normal wear & tear, so I'm OK with that after seeing how banged up my caviar jumbo is after 14 years).

Just make sure to store it laying flat on its back, not standing up... Standing up is more convenient for closet space, but just while it works the wrinkles out, clear a little space for it. :flowers:

Please stop asking the SA questions and doing things to try to rectify it. The SA will tell you those things to get you to not return. If you aren’t happy with the bag just simply return the bag and try to get a different one especially since you don’t mind waiting. This is too much work to put in for a brand new bag that you are unhappy with. Furthermore manipulating it more just means it will be more used for the next person that possibly accepts the bag in its current condition. Just return/exchange it since you are not happy with it. Take it to the SA that you got it from. Tell them that you aren’t happy with the wrinkles and going forward prefer wrinkled free bags only. This helps the sa to learn you as well so they know not to give you this type of bag going forward.

Super true... mine was totally fine when I first got it, FWIW.

I wouldn't have been too happy had it been creased upon delivery, but it only got creased 6 months later out of my own negligence.

OP, @33ng, you shouldn't *have* to settle for a $8,800 handbag that you aren't 8,800% happy with!

(I was just trying to give tips in case you were fine with figuring out a way to lessen the crease.)

I would advise to return the bag while you’re still within the time frame. You’re clearly unhappy with the wrinkles and it’s bothering you. Please don’t settle out of fear of being unable to find another. Every time you use the handbag, you’ll be reminded. For the price you paid, you should be 110% happy and satisfied with it. It shouldn’t be the cause of any stress or inconvenience (bringing it to another SA). The SA will always dissuade you from returning by saying “oh it’s normal” “ just rub it.” Just ignore all that and do a straight return for a refund. It’s a classic and you’ll be able to find another. You can ask for the next one that’s available by a diff SA.

QUICK QUESTION...I thought BOTH the NH626 BLUE AND NH623 PURPLE COLORS were produced in MEDIUM/LARGE (the size below Jumbo) CLASSIC FLAP IN CAVIAR in the U.S.???

But my SA is saying that both those colors were ONLY DONE IN SMALL CLASSIC FLAP CAVIAR SIZES NATIONWIDE IN THE U.S.??

Just wanted to clarify with you guys on here haha
