I believe the stores receive their allocation when they receive the buy books. If I understand the process correctly, there are often changes from what the boutique requested as corporate may cut production on an item and ultimately control the allocation. I thought I heard that was the case with the heart bag - production was cut. It's not a bag I'm personally interested in, but thought I overheard this. It also seems that the stand alone boutiques and department stores aren't getting their buys confirmed at the same time which makes the process more complicated and may contribute to inconsistencies across our collective experiences.
Thank you. You just confirmed what the Sa told me today about the heart bag. This is the first time I'm seeing in large number of complaints about customers being bumped or having their deposits refunded back. What a mess.
 
I was bumped by an SA @ Hirsh. last year for the 21S lilac caviar medium flap. I prepaid 100% and was first in the line [I confirmed with multiple SAs about my placement]. The day of the launch, they refunded me and told me the bag was not available. Even though the SA showed me pics from the stock room. I escalated to Marci Hirsh and she had less than a pleasant attitude. She basically told me that my spot was given to a VIP. So, I told her to s*ck it! :cool:
Your story is confirming what I'm suspecting. VIP shopper was probably shown your bag which you already paid for. VIP throws a tantrum and gets your bag.
 
I’m keeping an eye on this one also. I guess it is tiny like a short wallet size as I had a clutch with chain from 22p, which is 6 inch long, and it was $2900. This one is $1800-1900 so I guess it is smaller size.
Yeah, my SA just texted me saying it would only fit like cc's, she said she would double check the dimensions. Sigh, wish it a bit bigger, but I still might get if I can get my hands on it.

The responsibility is on Chanel/SAs. I've never seen anyone get a bag because they had a tantrum. Are we vilifying VIP clients now? Not everyone is a reseller or entitled. Some of us just spend a stupid amount at Chanel every year. Chanel shouldn't have cut the buy for the bags. It's intentional to create a frenzy and they'd be thrilled to see us turn on each other and add to a scarcity mindset.
 
So my favorite NM finally starts putting her list out today and I noticed that neither pink was on it. So I texted her and she said she left it off because they are only getting 2 and she didn't want 1000 messages. She said she'd put me down. WTF though only 2??????
@lallybelle Which pink flap were they only getting 2 of? The dark pink NH622 or the light pink NH620?

Personally I’m not interested in the heart bags and didn’t reserve it. But since the topic of ppl getting pumped off the reserve list. An sa sent out mass msg and this is what I got. I have no further info as I didn’t reserve the heart bag like I said. Just wanted to share. This is probably just what happened at this particular store and not every stores0AF0B1CE-8FB8-4336-8B05-945C5EFCB6C9.jpeg

She didn't say. I did ask why either of them weren't on the list. That's when she said she didn't put it down because she'd get a ton of request and were only getting 2. Could have been for the Dark Pink because then she texted back later saying I could have it if I wanted it.

Believe me I have seen a temper tantrum for a handbag before. Apparently someone was entitled to have your bag refunded so they can purchase. Agree with your statement responsibility on the Chanel/Sa by telling customer this bag is sold and maybe try and locate another one.

Thank you for the response! I’m trying to gauge how realistic it is to get any of them without pre-reserving. It sounds like it’s basically impossible :shocked: congrats on scoring the dark pink!!

I am certain I know which influencer got my bag. She posted about it while in the Hamptons the next day. And she’s friends with Marci (who co-owns Hirshfilier). So messed up!

i'm a vip and i've never re-sold or demanded anything from a sales associate in my life

I’ve heard of Hirsch doing this a lot over the years.
 
Contacted my SA the other day about reserving the heart bag. She told me the reserve list is closed and has been filled for the past 6 months. I called support and they told me to contact my SA again when the launch date is closer to see if I can get one. So frustrated. If anyone has an SA in the Bay Area that can help, let me know.
