There’s really no reserve list. There’s only reserving or wait- listing. If an SA says an item is reserved for you, that means your name is attached to a particular piece expected to come to store and you are guaranteed to get it so long as the store receives the item without any issues.

They never reserve an item unless they either have the item already or saw the item listed on an upcoming shipment list and know for sure they’re getting one, and that it’s not allocated to another client.

In boutique language, they sometimes say “flagging the item for you”. This means the same as reserving; it means they confirmed the item is coming to their particular boutique and it’s reserved (saved) for you so it can not be sold to anyone else. So reserving is done piece by piece.

But if reserving is not allowed in that boutique, or the once that are coming for sure are already allocated (reserved), then some boutiques may take names down for a list (waitlist). The waitlist is to allocate any additional products they may receive or offer the ones that are passed by reserve clients by precedence until there’s no more.

Oh thank you for this information. May i ask if the SA made me sign a paper for them to have my credit card on file for reserving, will that in a way secure or kind of a higher potential of getting the item for me?

Im from the US and have been told reserves on the boutique I purchase from has already had the book in last week and has secured (hopefully) the smaller heart and the rect mini caramel. I hope i dont get bumped off the list as i am not that big of a spender

Would you be able to purchase both bags if they both come in this month? Curious on how the limit come into play

No I was told by SA that Chanel is supposedly enforcing this policy. I must be an existing customer at that particular location where I made my reserve for the item I want to purchase. If I’m not an existing client I am not eligible to reserve thru that location regardless of my chanel profile or the fact I didn’t exceed purchase limit for the month

Ok, this must be a new policy because I guess everyone is getting the same runaround. I also had a deposit and then was refunded due to not having an in-store purchase at that particular location. I guess they are cutting down on phone orders? So weird.

Hello yes i was told by the SA the small heart bag is actually an SLG. But last season i was able to purchase two bags one on the next day… the SA said they can make a few exceptions but not sure how often that “exception” can be done.

Is using a family member's name to purchase an option for you? If you have a good relationship with your SA they should be willing to help you most of the time Obviously this is also them expecting us not to abuse their favor ofc.

I heard last week that they changed it to 1 month now
