This new SA said I had to pay a deposit to reserve and I thought it would be guaranteed but then recently, the SA told me they have to cancel because I don’t have a purchasing history in their boutique. I was really upset because I rejectEd an offer to be on another reserve list. This whole process is so confusiNg.

It would be helpful to purchase something small that you know you'll use like earrings, bandeau/twilly, coin purse. Just something to get into the system. Then this shouldn't be a issue. Purchase history is very important around launch time.

And remember that if you travel. We don't have Bloomies in MI. Next next time I go to Chicago, I'll purchase something so that if I see a bag in the stock thread, hopefully that will help me secure a bag.

Maybe you can go back to the first offer and see if you can still get on the list. Good luck!

My SA actually contacted me to get my cc info a while back, but when I checked more recently, I was told the reserve list was full (before I gave her the cc info). I'm assuming when she took my cc info she doesn't know how many pieces are coming in, but now it doesn't look like I'll get one...
Still debating if I should go to reseller, still having (false) hope

Same here! I paid a deposit as well and now being told I can’t purchase and I am still waiting for the SA to issue my deposit refund!

If I understand you, it's best if there's some distance between the first purchase and the reserve. Hopefully, there won't be an issue for future collections.

No I was told by SA that Chanel is supposedly enforcing this policy. I must be an existing customer at that particular location where I made my reserve for the item I want to purchase. If I’m not an existing client I am not eligible to reserve thru that location regardless of my chanel profile or the fact I didn’t exceed purchase limit for the month

It seems we're saying the same thing; history occurs over time and at a specific boutique. If you want options in the future, shop at multiple boutiques.

Another things Chanel is enforcing is one reserve for a specific item at any boutique. It was common practice to have multiple SAs (diff boutiques) holding the same bag for one customer. But the reserve system is available for all SAs to see now. Ugh!

Is there an official drop date? I do feel lucky because my SAs store is still allowing reserves, and I know many stores are implementing lottery systems or just plain luck of timing! But they still haven’t got their buy book in, and I’ve seen some people finding pieces already?! I’m hoping to snag a mini heart bag and a pink cf mini but that’s a tall order so we’ll see

Im from the US and have been told reserves on the boutique I purchase from has already had the book in last week and has secured (hopefully) the smaller heart and the rect mini caramel. I hope i dont get bumped off the list as i am not that big of a spender
