Only one NM location got a shipment of m/l caramel flap today per my SA, and it was a store that does a lottery system for new stock. A certain PS account (who also used to be just a ”part time handbag collector, Full time mama ” on her regular Instagram account) immediately posted that she had “managed to get one more.” If we can put our heads together and figure out which store that is, we can report her and maybe get her kicked off of future waitlists.
I might be wrong but I think it may be king of Prussia? Maybe those more familiar may know better but I hear that one is notorious for getting great stock.

I’m guessing her buyers are the people ahead of us on the reserve list and know how many bags the boutique is getting...and are 100% sure they are high enough on that list to be guaranteed a bag. I really think there should be a way for us to anonymously report serial codes to the brand and have them ban the original buyer for like....six months for a first offense and forever for a second offense lol. I understand that not everyone has access to a boutique but the reseller market is just so greedy. I can’t imagine the benefits outweigh the cost.
If you see resellers on IG, tell your SA about them! We did that when we purchased our bag this weekend. Our SA was surprised because it was someone they worked with. They immediately told their manager. They can put them on a "do not sell" list.

Amazing! If we can find out their names....it totally makes sense to report them! I personally haven’t shopped with one yet so don’t really know any of the resellers by name

I know, some of the pages are more discrete than others. This person happened to be recognizable. This reseller also happened to have content that was recorded in their location, so that was helpful.

Anyone else getting that sinking feeling every time you see a personal shopper post that she “just got another” of the super htf item you are waitlisted for, and it is obviously a pic a SA sent her and she is pre-selling before even having the bag in hand? What about the posts that say the have FOUR available for order? Asking for a friend...
This!

I think we know who. :) another M/L today :))

Is it possible that some of these resellers have agreements with Chanel? I am wondering for several reasons.
1. Many inquire on pre-orders right after the show, when the boutiques are also setting their buys.
2. They are promoting Chanel on IG - where accounts have been shut down, Chanel could certainly enforce if they tried.
3. If they're purchasing multiple of the same bag, seems it be flag. I realize that some personal shoppers coordinate the transaction but the purchase goes on the buyer's Chanel profile, and realize some may have people buy for them, but it still feels like Chanel could easily take action for multiple purchases of the same bag multiple times over and over again.
4. The marquee mentor website, which is designed to help people start a reseller business clearly states "wholesale agreements with luxury brands" as a benefit - learned about this site from foxylv and bargainhuntingblond on IG.

Personally I haven't purchased from a reseller and really enjoy the boutique experience. To be clear, I'm not advocating for resellers, and feel yucky all over when I see the mark-ups of these items, like the Rose Clair Classic Flap. I agree the last price increase hurt and anything on top of that increase feels outrageous. I'm just putting this information out there for dialog purposes - sorry if this belongs in a different thread, since there is so much conversation on resellers I thought it appropriate.

Yep a lot of us know who and I am pretty sure the salespeople would recognize her name, if it is the same as her Instagram name. She also has her picture up if it isn’t. Anyone have a close sales contact in the Austin NM? That is where that caramel flap came from today. Would love to see this little side hustle shut down. That bag could have been sold to one of us.

All of these are good points. My inclination is to believe Chanel is against resellers because my SA mentioned there is a monthly and yearly purchase limit on handbags. She also said if you purchase the exact same bag more than once (I’m guessing within a boutique not leased stores) then Chanel will send you a letter. She had to go before she could tell me what that letter says but basically I think she was trying to tell me that the brand flags multiple purchases of the same item (i.e. 2 or more of a medium lambskin with gold hardware classic flap) and will probably ban you from purchasing more items if they find out you are a reseller. I think another thread mentioned that on the French receipts, there’s language against reselling so if you violate those terms, you might get put on a ban list.
I wonder if maybe some of the SAs get kick backs from the resellers so they tend to give them a heads up on what’s coming out so they can be put first on the reserve list.

I wonder if that SA tolerated the practice. He always say sold out!

Yes! Me too! It’s getting me so sad cause all the popular ones are all gone due to more and more PS getting them from all places. Chanel lovers like us need to pay extra crazy prices for a bag that already had a price increase. This is painful.

This is what I was quoted from a IG PS
21C rose clair classic flap bag
Small $8400
Medium $8700

This really breaks my heart..
This is truly despicable. I am trying to locate a rose Clair too but this just turns me off from looking any further. And doing this especially at the time of a global pandemic really goes to show these peoples true colors. Truly terrible
