I’ve heard rumors that Nordstrom VF is getting a Chanel boutique with their remodel!
I am so excited for this news but personally so annoyed because I am moving to LA in a month!!! I would have loved to luxuriate at the chanel in Nordstrom and the new beautiful Dior. I hope all the lovely Bay Area purse lovers can enjoy valley fair to the fullest though

Since you still have 1 month, that gives you enough time to enjoy the new Dior! I was told Chanel in Nordstrom isn't set to open until towards the end of the year. Come back during the holidays and check it out in person

@newcalimommy and @BB8 you are too sweet and I do agree! It will always be home so I’ll have a chance to visit especially around the holidays. I am gonna try to visit Dior next week and maybe if we are lucky things will continue to be safer for a purseforum meetup !

that sounds like a great idea! Let me plan my Chanel outfit from now lol jk

Things just keep getting get worse and worse. Looks like Neiman Marcus right across from Chanel got robbed in broad daylight yesterday. <iframe width="476" height="267" src="https://abc7news.com/video/embed/?pid=10866419" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Prior to that, Dior SF nearby was robbed during store hours and the employees were maced. Prior to that Union Square Saks was robbed. Not that it's any better across the Bay: LV and Neiman Marcus at Stanford were both robbed as well. Looks like these are all organized groups.
My SA in SF recently asked me if I wanted to come pick up an item or have it delivered to my house. I did not hesitate to tell her to deliver it. It's just not safe to go to these luxury places anymore, and potentially get robbed yourself, and even worse: injured. It is so disheartening and angering that people think it's okay to steal from others. These people need to get jobs and work for what they want. Our lack of enforcement and legal ramifications is a joke, and these low lifes know it.

Yeah I heard. But I didn’t know that Dior SF got robbed too. I heard Dior Valley Fair got robbed last week but couldn’t find anything on the news. Sigh.

VF Dior too?? Sheesh, they just barely opened. These scumbags waste no time. I hope they're captured and face consequences.
Yeah, the SF Dior wasn't on any news outlets as far as I know. I only found out because my SA told me: unfortunately he was working when the robbers came in and he and his co-workers were maced. Terrible.
Honestly, I was pondering: why am I buying all of these luxury goods when it's gotten to the point where I'm too afraid to wear them and enjoy them outside my home, for fear someone is just going to target me and others who have designer goods on.

Yeah. My friend told me that. The suspects brought pepper sprays with them and ran off to the nearest exit after they grabbed the bags and stuffs.
I have an SA at Dior SF too. Hope he was fine. :(

I feel the same way - I am too scared to take my nice things out in general these days. For a long time I didn’t even dress nice because I was scared of the virus and we didn’t know much about how it transferred or clung to things. Now things are a little bit better I leave the house a little bit more, but I won’t opt to take my Chanel bags. It makes me sad - if I do take them out I usually will carry them backwards so people don’t see the logo. However it’s not just luxury - I was reading that target and walgreens have had record theft across the state and even country. So in california all target and Walgreens in major cities now close early for I don’t know how long.
Really disheartened to hear that VF Dior was already targeted when it just opened and even worse, people were hurt at Dior sf. I was waiting in line last Sunday but it was so slow I decided to walk away. Now I don’t even think it’s worth it and will just wait until I move to la/eventually travel again to visit boutiques. Not assuming it’s better anywhere else, but it’s been something else lately.
I understand people are desperate but it makes me sad that people feel like this is their best option. I hope that things improve for everyone soon so these unsafe occurrences subside, both at the drug store and at the boutiques.

YSL valley fair got robbed multiple times. the robberies at VF never hit the news.
Seriously this is so crazy! Bloomingdales VF got robbed a couple weeks ago, and I wouldn’t have known if it didn’t happen right before I got there. It’s just easier to carry a non-branded handbag for my safety nowadays. Stay safe everyone!
