Hi guys, has anyone ever removed the label from the sneakers? I just bought (almost) perfect black sneakers, and the only thing I don’t love about them is the white tag with CHANEL lettering. Anyone removed it? I’m a little afraid of destroying the tongue. What do you think? View attachment 5842810
I agree about the white label - I also dislike them on my sneakers but I do think it will potentially ruin the sneakers by removing them. It’s not worth the risk!

I’m all about making stuff work for me. I know the basics of sewing, but I try to be conservative when judging level of effort. (See the zipper on my 22 mini- I pinned it very carefully, zipped it, unzipped it, stuffed it, etc to make sure it would work before committing)
I would suggest if you’re very hesitant, to ask the tailor where you bought them for their advice and/or to do it for you.
My very amateur eval is that you can remove it; it may leave a crease/indent where the stitches were, but you can potentially steam that out since it’s nylon (?)

Thank you, crease in that place will not be visible at all, but from my amateur inspection there is one sew all over the tongue, which also goes throughout the label. If i remove the label and destroy this sew I might destroy the whole tongue. For now I think I will wait for autumn, I will wear them for a while, and see if it bothers me enough to take a risk. In the meanwhile I will show them to my mom who is great in that kind of DIY stuff. I have a bunch of Chanel sneakers, and it doesn’t bother me that much, but they were supposed to be quiet and not in your face :(

I have always loved Chanel shoes since I saw a fellow student wear a pair with a beautiful camellia on the heel way back at my first degree graduation - I was a very poor student so could only dream but thankfully my situation has changed a bit :)

I also appreciate that Chanel makes such beautiful ballerinas - not many luxury brands seem to regularly produce this type of shoe, preferring just sneakers/loafers, but there are still occasions where a delicate closed toe flat is needed, IMO.

I have recently purchased my first pair of beige/black Chanel ballerinas and they are fairly comfortable for me, but if I may add to the sizing discussion - if you can, do not be afraid to ask your SA to try multiple pairs in the same or similar size. I think I tried on 11 different pairs across 38.5, 38.5C and 39, and they all fit slightly differently (actually some of the differences in length in the same numerical size was quite astonishing)... after years of elite ballet my feet are a disaster zone so I really need to pay attention to shoe comfort and sizes. Thankfully my SA was patient and my store had plenty of stock

Looking forward to expanding my collection to the seasonal designs! The slippery slope begins...

P.S. have shoe prices been removed from the Chanel website? Handbag prices are largely still available, but not shoes (at least on my country website).

These are so beautiful! I have the slingbacks in this same color way but want to get my first pair of ballerinas next. Do you mind sharing how much this was?

No problem - if I recall correctly they were 790 EUR, purchased a few months ago, although I think they have increased since. The price of items in every Chanel metier makes me shudder these days...

Rather than removing, I'd probably try dying the label black. The nice thing about them being black is you don't need to worry much about color matching!

I would ask the chanel tailor or another tailor to remove the label. But, I wouldn’t try to do it myself
