I would probably skip that shoe. When I tried it on, I felt the shoe was so light and thin, even the leather. I even said that to the SA "it feels so thin and airy" and that's when the SA said it was really a slipper and not really meant for heavy duty wear.
Plus, you are paying for that cute, but useless pouch that will sit in your closet.

I hear you on soft soles. I walk a lot when I travel, especially in big cities with concrete sidewalks. Comfort is my thing.
Ballets are of course super comfy, but if you want a look more substantial than a ballet, here is another super comfy style.
My SA recommended this shoe. At first, I did not like the style, but he told me it was super soft and super comfy. Okay.. I caved.
Wow... it sure is! It feels great on, and the funny thing is I hesitated buying this shoe due to the huge logo. Ironically, I get compliments on this shoe because of that darn tacky logo.:heart: The style is the classic Belgian loafer look.

Anyway, you might not like this style. I would not exactly call this high fashion chunky loafer as the style is today.
Rather, it's more a classic Belgian loafer look. For comfort... you cannot beat it. It came in black, beige, and red.

Oh that is beautiful! A bit big on the logo but beautiful nonetheless. And yes, comfort is key. Tq so much. As i just purchased a ballerina less than 12 hours ago, imma put these loafers recommendations in my wish list.

Hi,
I have two pairs of the dad sandals in size 38 and they are perfect for me. They are also adjustable, which helps. I also wear the espadrilles in size 39, combat boots in 39 and usually ballets and sandals in 39 also. I sometimes can wear a 38.5 in Chanel shoes, but more consistently a 39 over 38.5. My foot is a bit narrow and I am super conscious of my toes and heels being near the front or back. Hope that helps.

Hi! According to the post, they are from cruise 21/22 which means they were around back in Nov/Dec 2021. That's about 5 seasons ago, so that's a long time. Odds are low you will find one. However, there are a couple of new tweed slingbacks this season you might want to take a look to see if you like them.

If not, and you want something white-based, cruise 23 is right around the corner, so I'd wait.
Here are two really really bad photos of tweed sling backs for 22K (Fall Act II).
Depending on your boutique and country, your SA may have different versions. These are from NM.

Good luck! I hope you find a sling back you like!

Hi! What does 22K (Fall Act II) mean? I am new to Chanel and I do see this lingo a lot, but never understood how Chanel seasons worked.

Also, I feel like I always ask you so many questions and I am sorry about that. But you are just so Knowledgeable and we seem to have very similar tastes (from nail polish to bone cuffs to VCA), so I always value your input!

Hi! You are too cute, and don't be shy about asking questions, whether it's to me or anyone. TPF is super helpful!
Chanel has six collections every year.

The collection codes are defined by three characters: The first two characters represent the year, and the third character is the season of the collection with season being:
C - Cruise
P - Printemps (Printemps literally stands for Spring in French, and this is sometimes called Spring Act I)
S - Summer (sometimes called Spring Act II)
A - Autumn (also called Metiers d'Art. I recall years ago, before the new name, it used to be called Autumn, hence the "A")
B - Fall/Winter Act I
K - Fall/Winter Act II

22K is then this year, 2022, Fall/Winter Act II.
Chanel of course may decide to change these codes, but the point here is there are collections that come out every season. Once these "seasonal" pieces are sold, they are gone. If you see something you love, get it sooner than later.

As we are talking shoes, you will see on the tag of the shoebox "22K" to denote the season. There are a few classics such as the beige/black ballet. Classic are REV code on the tag, and they are typically offered year round.

Hope this helps.
And yes... we do seem to have the same taste!
I'm a huge fan of Chanel shoes, and my love are the ballets. They are such classics, and Chanel makes new combinations every season. If you might like ballets, that would be a perfect first Chanel shoe (assuming you are super new and have not yet purchased Chanel shoes yet). I love ballets and can never have enough.
You might already have a stockpile of them!:heart:

Thank you so much for your detailed explanation (as always, hehe)!

I just looked at my Chanel shoe boxes (I only have a handful of pairs) and majority of them say REV. I can't believe I noticed before. It seems like my one seasonal piece is from 2016 (16A), which is a grey fabric slingback. One of my REV pairs are the beige/black ballerinas. I love, love, LOVE it, though it does not fit me anymore (it is from college and I appear to have grown since). In college, I scuffed the ballerinas the FIRST day I wore it out and I remember being so sad.

What I really want right now is a pair of the turnlock loafers in black (I saw you had a fuchsia pair and it is so, so, SO pretty).

Does anyone know if the turn lock loafers are now REV? I think last season they came in white, tan, green, and pink. But I’m still waiting impatiently for them in black! My saks SA who I always buy shoes from told me she’s going to let me know when they arrive but they’ve been limited and popular. I tried them on in 38 and they were just slightly too tight and need a 38.5. I’m Just not sure if they’re actually still making them or it would be more a luck of the draw. I keep getting close to going the personal shopper route but I’d prefer not to incur those fees if they are REV now.

Hi! I love these loafers and have them in fucshia, 22A.
I don't think they will be REV (forever!), but I think they will be a repeat style, like the beige espadrilles.

I want to comment on sizing... I am a 38 in all Chanel shoes. When the black loafer first came out, I tried it on in a 38 and thought it was too tight, so I returned it and said that shoe is not for me.

Fast forward this season, I saw the fucshia pair and loved the shade. I ordered them in both 38 and 38.5, and I just knew for sure I would keep the 38.5. Nope!

The 38 at first felt tight (narrow), but the length was perfect.
The 38.5 felt only a tiny bit wider, but the length was too long and my foot actually slipped out of the loafer.

I decided to keep the size 38, wore them with socks at my house for a few hours, and poof.. the 38 fit me great!

I just want to share this experience with you. Check not just the width, but also the length. When I tried on the 38.5, I just knew it was too long for me.

As an idea, you can order a size 38.5 in any color and try it on for size. This will help you decide for sure what size you need.
Unless of course you know for sure the size 38 is far too small.

Hope this helps.

Have you guys ever bought shoes from Saks? this is my first time ordering shoes from them and they sent it with ground shipping and NO signature required. I’m a little bit concerned about that since this is my first time ever receiving a chanel item without any signature required whether it be shoes, rtw, slgs, or bags.

I buy a lot of Chanel shoes from Saks, and I don't think Chanel shoes count in Saks' mind as they are just "shoes", even if they are $1K shoes. I have gotten Chanel shoes and Chanel boots as high as $2K Chanel boots from them, no signature for 90% of my Chanel shoe purchases.

I actually prefer it without signature, as I find signatures a pain. That's me though.
You could tell your SA in the future if you prefer signature required. I am sure he can request it.

Okay thank you good to know this is a normal thing for them. I normally order through one of my trusted SAs but the item I wanted has been sold out until I found it through Saks. Just hoping it gets here safely
