Both jackets are great on you so it depends if you want a LBJ or a tweed one. The second one has a more casual vibe to it. The Sofia is not an easy fit on everyone and you pull it off. The shoulders do not appear big in the photos but you can always have the boutique switch them to the smaller padding.

Finally tried this jacket (not in my size) but alas the metallic threads itches me badly especially at the back of the neck (even over my dress). Much as I like the look, it is a pass. Seems like it will be Hermes rtw for me this season.

Both look wonderful on you as always!

ms piggy, thank you [emoji4]
The jacket looks good with this dress!

It's itchy?! Oh no !! It looks good on you.

I am somewhat relieved to hear that the threads are itchy - I am very sensitive to fabrics as well - which means I will likely pass on this one. Phew!

It looks so good on you, and even quite cute with your printed dress, but comfort absolutely comes first. If it was not comfortable for you then you would never reach for it.

ms piggy, thank you [emoji4]

Thanks all, I thought I was clashing terribly with the jacket and the printed dress. I was taken by surprise that the jacket itches on me. So far only mohair does that and there is none in this one. A girlfriend mentioned the shiny metallic threads is the culprit. As always, I think trying on is the key.

@ailoveresale do give it a try when you get the chance. It is a lovely jacket.

Dear PP, congrats! [emoji324][emoji898]
I love that pleated back jacket, it's stunting!
Can't wait for the pictures!
The blue/black jacket I guess was love at first sight for you! Have you tried it on?
The dress is perfect [emoji108]

Hi Ari, yes I tried the blue and black one at the store and bought it immediately. I wasn't sure how the pockets or the belt would work for me from the photos, but they were just perfect. The pockets are placed in such a way that they are flattering even with my build. And the belt was great but needs to be lowered a bit to add length to my torso. It is a shorter length than many of my jackets, so it gives me a different silhouette. It could definitely be tricky. It all depends where the pockets, belt and overall length fall on one. I felt fortunate that it worked.

I had identified the plaid jacket as a possibility from your photos so thanks for posting them.

Smart to pass if nothing is perfect for you. You will know the right pieces when you find them. I felt much the same way about most of the cosmopolite pieces.

Hermes rtw gets better every season and the pieces are nice to mix and match with Chanel. I'm planning to wear the dark navy pleated skirt that I purchased in April with my new belted chanel jacket.

You have a good memory! That's the coat that I'm waiting for. It should arrive any day. I'm sure I'm going to take it. I tried s similar cut in a different fabric to be sure.

I also bought this jacket. It's the same fabric so I debated whether it was silly to get both but they are such different pieces and the black/ blue combo is so perfect for me that I decided to go for it. IMG_1502452249.208807.jpg

Just to help anyone who is interested as far as the length of the coat version:

My coat isn't in yet. So I tried this other coat, which is the same length. The one I tried is one size too small for me. My coat should be an inch or so longer. I'm 5'6". The dress pictured with the coat in TTs photo is the one I purchased and it comes to mid calf on me.
