Sharing some recent try ons from Rue Cambon
The two jackets, dress, and sparkle skirt came home with me 🥰

The silk tops were pretty but I passed on them

I tried with both blouse tugged in and with a short blouse (not the best complementing colors for this turquoise shade, just to get a sense of proportion). I think both of these can work as everyday looks

Have you considered navy/dark wash high waisted jeans? I feel that in the first picture, the waist line vs. the jacket hem can have more overlap - either with a higher waist or a lower waist with a top (like the proportion in the second look). A white tshirt under will do.
The proportion on the second look is better - can consider an all-white look under as well.

@880 @Brooklynite tried different combination with dark / light pants. I prefer light pants/jeans with a greenish undertone with this jacket, preferably not having to tuck in the shirt. I think getting the under shirt with right length without having to tuck in would be the biggest challenge with this jacket, the last look with lacy blouse if my favorite so far.

Loro Piana dark wash trouser center seam denim jeans are good with Chanel jackets. They are TTS, size 36, about 1500 USD this season. Here with a Chanel boucle jacket from around 2022 and with my white lamb leather Chanel jacket with gold crinkle from 2003 (bought from Chanel 57 back then ;) . Bc of my relatively thick waist compared to my hips/ size, I personally find darker pants (and a wider pant opening) more flattering than a skinny lol

ETA: @thepinkavocado22 , did you get your white jacket? When I got the one in the first pic above, I was surprised that it wasn’t straight white, as photographed but a mix of off white, white snd black and white trim. Sometimes these jackets look different IRL

Yes! These are on my list for this winter because you introduced their cashmere jeans to me. The dark wash is perfect.

Another styling option is a very simple black tshirt/shift dress...or white.
Actually - I just noticed that the pants you wore were not high waist pants. Perhaps there is room in the closet to add some basic high waist pants/jeans? :drinks:

Looking fantastic as per usual!! I tried on the white jacket, but as others stated, it was way too boxy for my liking. I really love the way your jacket fits, so I'm still waiting on my perfect jacket. Do you find it hard to maintain your white jacket? I've heard stories of white jackets yellowing with time, and I'm still a bit afraid of that.

Thank you! No issue maintaining, but my jacket is actually white and off white, and so not pure Snow White ;). To keep garments in optimal condition, I do not store garments in dry cleaners plastic or any garment bag that doesn’t allow air flow.

It’s ideal if your closet is away from sunlight (or glass is double UV safe with shades) but allows air flow. If your clothes can be stored without being crushed together so much the better (my space is sadly a bit tight.

I tend to store light colored items next to one another (I had a dolce & gabbana dress once color transfer onto an adjacent item). Chanel does provide loose lightweight muslin cloth covers for protection, and I sometimes use those. But, rarely bc then I forget what I have and don’t wear the item in question.

After wearing an item, my SA (and also my allergist) tell me to let the garment air out for a day separately (I have hooks outside the closets) and inspect to make sure it’s clean bf storage.

I also worry that excessive dry cleaning could affect colors or longevity, and so prefer to steam or air out. When I do dry clean, I discuss any issues like yellowing, shrinkage, and whether any buttons or trim need to be removed, covered, or otherwise special handled. My dry cleaner usually covers the trim at the most :)

Re fit/ alteration/ customization of a boxy item, your SA is your best advocate to discuss with her favorite tailor at Chanel whether (and how far) an item can be shaped or customized to your body without altering the designers vision. This can be a case by case thing :)

ETA: I am thinking of taking the white boucle to my third party professional tailor to opine as to whether it should be further shaped. Sometimes I prefer to do that than to go back to Chanel (but my tailoring is probably split 50/50). Though Chanel tailoring is complimentary, there is the possibility that they won’t agree with what I want altered or, that I will be tempted to buy something new lol

Re: white jackets
I don't think we can tell on a forward looking basis.
I have a jacket from 2005 and it's still white.
I've also got a Marc Jacobs linen/cotton runway jacket from SS2007 and the neck area got stained over time. In fact, I'm trying to find a piece of cream colored fabric to have the tailor replace the panel with the issue as it's inside and less obvious. (And the style is just so perfect with many high waisted pants.
So I think that it is fabric dependent. The most "dangerous" issues with white jackets are:

1. Sweat from the neck. Lighter colored lining is the most susceptible. We need to be strategic in thinking about the layer under.
2. Kids' nutella and markers

In my opinion, this jacket needs volume on bottom like wide leg pants or flared skirts, don’t be afraid to experiment.
I find this collection jackets are a bit voluminous and short, most of them don’t look good on me. I loved these but they don’t suit me at all

The short sleeve one is quite alright
