Thanks for posting this. I think she looks great though I still don’t understand rompers. I was puzzled when reading comments complaining about her dressing in costly Chanel to go to a football game. While I’m not a TS fan, she’s a celebrity who gives a lot to charity; she can afford chanel; and she should do what she wants.
I think the point is that people spill beers everywhere in a football game ...
but she can afford it ;)

lol! This is true and when we were in our pro and college sports attending phase, I made sure to wear washable clothing and a bag that could withstand that assault. When you are in skybox, things aren't so messy, but the better question is how appropriate it is to wear to a football game. For her, I guess it doesn't matter. I don't think that I would.

Beautiful shade for the cardigan!
I would love to see the white pearl jacket and jeans combo as I am hoping to find the baggy jeans and am contemplating the white jacket also. I loved it worn as a look.
I only managed to get the straight cut medium blue wash jeans, still on the waitlist for the light blue baggy one. That would be a perfect match for the white pearl jacket ~

I bought this cardigan/jacket on a whim. This is the first time I’ve bought Chanel rtw. Is it good for a first piece? I was initially thinking a classic jacket, but it’s just so hot most of the year in Florida and am not sure how much cost per wear I would get
I loved the tweed and silvery trims on this and bought the vest version, beautiful colours on this one!

Hi Tadad!
It’s a beautiful coat, but if it would be my first Chanel RTW I’d choose a classic jacket. I love the flattering cut of this coat on you, but except for the tweed it doesn’t represent the classic Chanel elements

Thank you ! This review is so helpful! I can see exactly your point from the pics you posted! What a relief( I can cross it off my mental list

@tadad , agree 💯 with your initial instinct and @ari  that a boucle jacket is an ideal first piece.

But, I do think the coat and the fit is gorgeous on you as a second piece lol

For me, I’ve come to realise it doesn’t matter what is your first piece, if you wear a lot of coats and find that it speaks to you and your lifestyle then go ahead. It won’t be your only piece, it’s a slippery road once you start buying RTW. However, if buying this piece sets you back for a long time before you can buy another, then you may want to consider getting a classic jacket first. Good luck with your decision!

Thanks so much everyone for your perspective!

Just picked up the jacket and jeans from alterations today so I took a pic for you :). The jeans are straight cut and not the baggy one.

Also attaching another try on pic for a 25P blouse, size is two sizes up from my usual.

Sometimes I size up for a looser silhouette. I find it can be both more youthful and modern, not to mention, flattering and comfortable. You look great :)

Absolutely love the jacket, thank you so much for the picture :) it looks great on you!
Would you say its a slim fit or more on the generous side as it slightly boxier fit?
All my Chanel jackets are more loose so I am trying to figure out my size

It ran TTS, fits the shoulders nicely and just kinda went straight down from there so I would say it’s a boxier fit. I only shortened the sleeves.

Question about alterations:

Can I take my RTW purchase to any boutique for free alterations? Is there any limit on time since purchase? Can I re-alter for something that was previously altered at my previous Chanel store within Nordstrom with their tailor?
Also, do people have experiences with alterations at boutique vs Neiman Marcus Chanel for the example?

I met a really nice SA on my trip so I’ve since been buying things remotely. I had another SA earlier last year at a local store within Nordstrom but at some point I really did not vibe with that SA so I stopped purchasing from there.
I do want to alter some of the pieces I recently got so I’m wondering if I can go to my local boutique for that.
However, the closest boutique is one hour away while there are two closer stores from me, one within Neiman, one within Nordstrom.
I want to avoid going to my old store for alterations to avoid the awkwardness (that’s just who I am lol), is boutique better than the NM location and worth 30+ minutes more drive?

I also had something I had altered before, but I’ve since lost 20 lbs and my size has gone down by like 2-3 sizes… can I still have that altered for free?

Thanks!!
