SWIMSUIT from 25C. Of course, I cannot wear it, just purchase for appreciation. Maybe I’ll give it to my mum.
Love this!
Hope all the Chanel crew here had a lovely and Happy Christmas! Went out Christmas Eve for dinner. It was pretty chilly for these parts so I was able to wear my Ritz jacket.

Merry Christmas dear Gracekelly! Merry Christmas to all!
What a coincidence! I wore my Ritz long cardigan for Christmas dinner and similar slingbacks
You both look beautiful!

Happy holidays and Happy New Year!

I found this sweater jacket great for travel; layering; and, even somewhat durable :)

Does anyone have more insights about Chanel’s tiered client status with regard to pre-ordering RTW/remote/phone order for new season?
I used to have to wait for a few days after any new collection to phone order. But my SA just told me for the new 25P, I will be able to place order on launch day because of the tiers.
What does this mean for my status at Chanel? Is this because 25P is a pre-collection? I really like my new SA but it’s a few hours flight away so I’m wondering for example if I stick with this store/SA for the new year whether I will be able to pre-order soon after a certain spend?

I’m curious about their system too, but SAs I have who are long term “friends” never shared.
I know from experience that they can reserve from the items they have ordered for their boutique and later like a month or so they can order something different from their pre ordered items.

In the US, it always changes and right now things are a little laid back that some clients can reserve items. (there were a period when no one can) And from other store, I think usually a few weeks into the collection launch that you can remote order. But also there are certain boutiques that go on 'transfer freeze' because of some events or local clients volume

I’ll share what I know based on personal experience and what my SA shares… but it obviously won’t be the full picture

1. VIC tiering is determined by spend primarily in RTW and FJ. Bags and SLGs do not help your profile.

2. Once you’ve hit a tier, you do not need to keep up an annual spend to maintain it. It’s yours for life (I’m sure this will change as more people move up in tiers, or the tiering ranges will move up).

3. There are multiple tiers. I don’t know how many but privileges evolve accordingly. Early tiers will allow you to be invited to launch day ahead of general crowds (not for every season). Then eventually you are invited for launch/prelaunch every season. Then you may be allowed to reserve launch pieces before pre launch. And then finally they ask if there are any pieces you’d like the boutique to order, usually 24-72 hours after a runway show (no deposit, no obligation to buy).

4. Any store transfers or charge sends have a strict 2 week period before a boutique can request from another boutique. As each boutique has limited buys, they don’t want to release popular pieces to another region. They will often decline releasing a popular piece early on unless you are a VIC in the system and your SA advocates for you. Of course if you’re a super duper VIC and there is a piece you must have and your boutique didn’t order it, boutique director can always call in a favor.

One perk I haven’t had access to, is seeing official look books for off runway commercial pieces, aside from individual boutique buys maybe 2 weeks ahead of launch (only shared in person). I assume this perk exists and is only for VVVICs who get access to look books even before the SAs do :)

Hope this helps!

Anyone know if the rules for remote order have relaxed? I need a SA contact that has access to sizes 48/50 for 25P. Thx!
I was told you just need a RTW purchase history to order by phone. I think it’s basically so your SA can try to avoid cumbersome returns or exchanges that they may not have in stock. But, sizing at Chanel is more variable than the old days; and I believe size 49/50 are pretty limited and may go very quickly.

It’s also my understanding that an SA has to do substantial requests in writing (that can take up some time, effort, and in some cases, horse trading ) to get some sizes and styles into the boutique, and they don’t want to do that for clients they don’t know.

I generally don’t make special requests or remote, as I prefer to walk in mid season and take my chances. For stuff like sale or special events, it’s my limited understanding that SAs may only be able to nominate a very limited number of clients, so (at least for sale) if i know I’m unlikely to buy much, I tell my SA to pass me over.

It’s possible that Saks or bergdorfs might be able to help more than a standalone boutique if an SA on the ground knows you.

I just got a Chloe bananas t shirt that I think would be good with Chanel tweed pants to take them down a notch. Here are the latest sale pants and the t shirt
