Chanel RTW ~ Reveals, Chit-chat & Info thread

I would appreciate opinions on this cropped jacket I fell in love with a few days ago. I avoided trying it on but gave in today. Of course I fell in love but after getting rid of most of my Chanel RTW I promised myself to limit future purchases to practical pieces that I would be able to use often. The jacket is surprisingly comfortable and not too thick, it doesn’t limit my movements which has been an issue for me in the past. It is delicate, though. I follow the thread but don’t recall anyone purchasing it. So to all the ladies who purchased or considered this jacket, how hard do you find to style it? I am aware that cropped jackets are limiting and I am not keen on the look with jeans and t-shirt as proportions look off but didn’t have time to try it with other pieces from the store. Any opinions and suggestions are welcome.

I did purchase the pink 21C cardigan/dress which still is short on me but manageable. However, I am a tad bit shorter than @pigleto972001.
It is going to Italy to have the sleeves altered.

Just remembered that you purchased the stirrup pant. Have you tried that with the long link cardie?

Thank you for the idea dear Gracekelly! I have to try it! Last night at the style session there was a question about how to wear the cardigan and the answer was with pants, jeans every thing.
I’d think it was more presentation of the collection than a style session. My SA makes better style sessions as he makes combinations with older collections, gives and visualize better ideas.

ari, thank you so much for the suggestions for the navy pants! When I visited my store last time, I wore my airline cardigan with the joggers. I left the cardigan with my SA and asked her to find some accessories for me to give it some interest and this is what she picked for me. I think this sweater looks fab with a camellia , you are always so right on with View attachment 5027171accessories!

I received the pics from my SA and I think the grey/fuchsia cardigan looks better in the picture compare to the show......definitely contemplating whether to get it or not...

Pink orchid I super love the longer pink dress cardi on you. At first I poopoo’d it on me but now I love it. Think it’s pretty and different. I also like the cropped jacket on you as well !!

I had actually asked for the cardigan dress to be ordered in my size immediately after the collection‘s show had aired. Due to several months of lockdown it never made it to me on time, but am now looking forward to hopefully wearing it out when the weather finally gets better over here. If at some point I don’t feel comfortable wearing it anymore our seamstress suggested adding a longer matching underskirt piece. I guess for the next 5 years I should still be fine. I really like it on you!

Dear @ari as you asked me to look at this jacket. I think it’s no problem for any Chanel tailor to alter. It’s a long blazer and the seams are at the places which makes sizing very easy. I find the cotton material seems to crumple easily which might not look as smart as one expects for Chanel. The black quilted bows and collar is to me, a little heavy, in contrast to the cotton. Just my opinion, as you asked for it. Always delighted by the sharing and kindness on this thread. I had a lot of fun trying on Act 2 today.

Oh, thank you so much dear Periodgirl! That’s very useful information! I’m inclined to get the leather Cruise jacket over this one, it a bit more expensive, but it looks like a better Invenstment . If my SA can find it now...

It also comes in black tweed which I imagine is also really nice. I have so much I could wear with that one too!

ari, I have several Valli evening jackets that are several years old. The quality is really nice- subtle beading and feathers on the sleeve of one that I just love to wear! These photos def have Chanel vibes , especially that white suit reminds me of white robot and the bows from beach jacket for sure.
