Not unpopular at all. That is exactly my fear, I just fell in love with the intricate material and details. Besides some knitwear and dresses I haven’t been excited for a Chanel jacket for some time. I know it will look absolutely fabulous when styled the right way (I am sure @ari will make it look spectacular, as usual), I am just not sure I can make it work for my lifestyle. And indeed, it’s a special piece one cannot throw on but rather utilize it for special occasions (of which I have none). I will take a look at my closet again tonight after work and see if there is anything in there that could match the jacket. I recently bought a light cardigan which I am able to wear for video calls from home, so might inquire about the one you have shown. I discussed it with my SA last week and I remember he mentioned it was sold out in Munich, but I am sure he could transfer it in.I am going to give you my opinion which I think maybe be unpopular. I think it looks fabulous on you. The way you styled it is really cute. But I think the style would be limiting and it is a very noticeable piece so to me, it's not something you could style a bunch of ways and make it seem really different. It's a showstopper for sure. I saw it in Chicago and it was beautiful. I share the concern about cropped and I don't buy them for that reason. But I don't think it could look any better than it does on you.
ETA: If I were to make a big investment in a cropped piece, it would be this one: (and you would look amazing in it given your figure).
