Found the pink 21S jacket on IG.. it looks really cute....
I think she lifted the shoulder a bit. It looks very cute on her, whether she did or not.

If anyone has seen the site whowhatwear, they have shown sweat pants with numerous jackets. Apparently it is now a “look” lol! Many bloggers have shown Chanel being worn with ripped jeans, so what is the difference? As @vin points out, anyone can buy the total look and it takes more imagination to pair the jacket with something unexpected. I think @pigleto972001 is to be applauded for finding a way to wear her Chanel pieces on a daily basis, and as @SPBiaes pointed out, it is elevating to the spirit to throw one on even for a grocery store run. We have been so locked up, every opportunity to feel dressed and pretty is welcomed.

Well put.

This makes me chuckle. I take no offense and thank you for sharing your opinion. That’s the best part of fashion. It’s individual interpretation and expression! :coolio:
+1 re vuori and other joggers bc basically all I do is go the WF and run errands. I just want to reduce cost per wear and use my closet. If I were younger, I might even have worn ripped jeans lol (but im 53 and get cold knees) I think it’s more modern than wearing head to toe chanel (and not a question of budget). BTW, I still have some older KL chanel spa or sport or ski line (albeit parked in my moms closet — she borrowed that stuff bc they are comfy), so there used to be chanel cargos, hoodies and sweats :D

I cannot wait to wear my new cotton chanel sweater with my favorite cheap spandex/nylon/synthetic athleta skort when the weather gets warmer. I brought a chanel 21P top to wear with my cheap beige shorts from strawberry (a discount brand that makes TJ Maxx look like haute couture) But that’s just my own style. :D I do adore and admire the style of many ladies here that wear chanel from head to toe also!

@PassionChanel, the photo you posted of the dropped shoulder pink jacket is very pretty. Somehow I think the bigger dropped shoulder looks best on the younger model, but then again, everything does :D
@Nana 97, I think the pink suit is very flattering on you, though I agree that you should only buy at this price if you love everything including the tweed, and if you find it less interesting than your other pieces, pass. . .
@style_in_snapshots, congrats on your dream cardigan! It looks fabulous on you!
@TankerToad, I love your scarf pic with your new jacket! The colors just glow! So happy for you!

Hi and hello! I stopped by Chanel yesterday for the new collection. There wasn’t too much selection and the pink cardigan was not available for me to try on:( BUT my wonderful SA had my dream cardigan.

Presenting: 21P cropped pastel cardigan! The details of the knit, the colors, the sparkly pink buttons - it’s spring in a cardigan. Slightly stretchy fabric with 3 hook closures.

Styled at home with ripped jeans and my Nike sweats :) All clothes (even Chanel) are meant to be worn and styled for our individual lifestyles. VV definitely gets this. Coco and Karl would appreciate the modernity!

I tried on a few other pieces which I’ll post later on!

That cardigan is super cute on you! Now I'm inspired to try it out...

Ah wish I could wear more chanel pants. They are too high waisted for me. And I love the skirts. Hopefully when it warms up I’ll be able to wear them more ❤
I saw a couple of pairs of wide legged tweed trousers in store yesterday and they were gorgeous!! In bright pink with gold thread and in black. Not sure what collection they are from. I asked the SA to let me know if they make sale. But I also have an issue with high waisted pants (they give me what I have dubbed “dropped-crotch”). I didn’t even want to tempt myself by trying them on now!

I was able to physically close it, but it felt a bit strained across the chest and front of the arms when I did, though I think it looks better closed up. I did not have it altered as I am between my normal sizes at the moment and waiting for alterations until later. I think letting it out slightly would do the trick if need be.

That's great to know, Nicole. I think I might end up getting the 34 and letting it out too. Many thanks

I think for the pink jacket, since it is a longer jacket, I would suggest you take your normal size. For purple one, depends on whether you like really tight fit one or a more forgiving silhouette. Since I wear my jackets to work, I tend to like something a bit more forgiving and comfortable, so for the purple, I take the size 36 ( but the tailor has to alter and shorten the shoulder a bit for me). For the size34, I don't need any alteration at all but I don't like the too fit silhouette when I closed the hooks and the length is a bit shorter.

Many thanks for patiently answering my questions, shopbbgirl and everyone  This is a very helpful thread. I think I'll get the 34 and have it altered if needed.
