@TankerToad, love your new 21P lesage and blue frida Kelly! I’d love to see action shots too!
Above, a few Tpfers commented on fit. At the boutique, my SA, the tailor and DH (who is such a stickler for fit that brunello tailors his T shirts) were adamant that I should not reshape and reduce and take in the shoulders of the two new jackets. I snuck off to my independent tailor this am (he is a pattern cutter; has worked in complex projects for me; and gives me a two day turn around ). He demonstrated how it would look pinned, which happens to be closer to the way my older KL chanel jackets fit my shoulder and I like it better. Anyway, he said he,ll tack it and can put it all back if I prefer the original fit (the 21P jacket IMO is a bit line backer)
I know many on this thread prefer chanel to do all alterations, but it’s easier and faster for me to get it done privately even with interim fittings.
Edit: DH just asked me to keep the jacket as is at least for the next few months. In his words, even if I feel like the shoulders and interfacing are overdone, it’s flattering and trims my waist. I guess I was worried that the padding was too 1980s, and he said no, that’s how it’s supposed to fit. . . Eh!
