@TankerToad, love your new 21P lesage and blue frida Kelly! I’d love to see action shots too!
Above, a few Tpfers commented on fit. At the boutique, my SA, the tailor and DH (who is such a stickler for fit that brunello tailors his T shirts) were adamant that I should not reshape and reduce and take in the shoulders of the two new jackets. I snuck off to my independent tailor this am (he is a pattern cutter; has worked in complex projects for me; and gives me a two day turn around ). He demonstrated how it would look pinned, which happens to be closer to the way my older KL chanel jackets fit my shoulder and I like it better. Anyway, he said he,ll tack it and can put it all back if I prefer the original fit (the 21P jacket IMO is a bit line backer)
I know many on this thread prefer chanel to do all alterations, but it’s easier and faster for me to get it done privately even with interim fittings.
Edit: DH just asked me to keep the jacket as is at least for the next few months. In his words, even if I feel like the shoulders and interfacing are overdone, it’s flattering and trims my waist. I guess I was worried that the padding was too 1980s, and he said no, that’s how it’s supposed to fit. . . Eh!

TT, your bag picture with this jacket is so beautiful! I was so inspired by ari's /ari's husband and the way a bright bag can update an outfit, I recently visited my H boutique after nearly a one year absence.! It is still appt only and it is such a pain to schedule etc, I just hadn't taken the time to reconnect with my SA. Well, it was a lovely visit and I made my wishes known to add some COLOR for some new bags. In the meantime,
I picked up the new collier de chien narrower bracelet in Rose Mexico alligator( bright pink, so happy!) to start off. Your picture of this lovely jacket is so bright and spring like and was another reminder of how color can really make a difference!
Not actually a Chanel question, but would you say the Rosa Mexicana color has a slight peachy undertone? Trying to decide on a pink.( I am stuck on Rose Sankura or Rose Shocking)

Laurie, compared to Rose Shocking, Rose Mexico is definitely a warmer pink. Rose Sakura is a beautiful pale pink that I wish someday they would make again in the garden party and other accessories- I love that pink.

Well is turned a bit colder again- today one of my favorites from Ritz. The feel of this jacket on (soft, pillowy lining) , subtle hidden tiny zippers at the sleeve for comfort, the pocket detail on the skirt..... these older pieces do somehow feel more luxe. Maybe it is just the recent discussions on quality here but I was thinking it when putting it on. I am actually quite excited about the upcoming Metiers
(just a few months to go!) I have seen quite a few things I am eager to try. ritz suit.JPG

Waiting is fine to see if you learn to like it as made, but you are the one wearing it and have to feel comfortable and attractive in it. I’m totally with you about not wanting linebacker shoulders and in a couple of years this could look dated and you would end up altering it anyway. I have changed dropped shoulders on a jacket because that is not a good look for me and if I liked everything else about a new piece I would not hesitate to change the shoulder line.

Thank you for your knowledge! Maybe I'll take my chances and wait...unless it looks amazing on and I think I can get a lot of wear out of it right now. :)

Yes it’s from 20c as K said. I have it in purple and paid full price Bc it was about the only one left and it’s actually a size up. It’s very comfortable and I get lots of compliments on it. If there are a few out there in your size def could wait for sale :) esp if you have a good SA who can keep an eye out for it :)

Here I am wearing it to get my shot :)

It was also in Emily in Paris I believe.

Thank you for your wise advice @gracekelly! I appreciate it!
@911snowball, I love the interplay of subtle texture in your action pic from the ritz collection as well As your description of all the details that make buying this RTW so enjoyable. If you were a restaurant critic describing a meal, my mouth would be watering right now! @pigleto972001, the purple cardigan looks amazing with the joggers! Congrats on getting the shot!

Thank you @911snowball, you and @gracekelly have given me the push to de pad in a few months :D!

P, everyone should look that good getting their shot! Another win for your joggers- they are now famous on this thread and we are all customers lol! I didn't realize you were not close to an H anymore, I was surprised to learn they now make clogs! They look so comfortable, they have the little kelly lock at the top, I got a pair in black for my increasingly casual life!

880, for what it's worth, I "de-padded" the shoulders on our jackets without giving it a second thought. They were a bit too much on me and I like a more natural shoulder line. I think you will be pleased with the alteration, but as you said you can always change it back. I pretty much do this on all my jackets now, I think I look taller if I can keep the look as streamlined as possible.

Covid vaccine? Nice! Thank you for showing me how your styled it. Now I’m even more intrigued. Maybe I’ll snatch it up. I love the purple.

Y’all, here’s another spastic life-is-going-to-end-because-of-covid impulse buy from last year that I kind of regret now. It’s been sitting in my closet because I don’t know how to style it. Does anyone have this and how have you styled it? I’m a lazy jeans and tee kind of person, but I just can’t get it to look right on me.

Thanks !! The joggers are vuori. Very comfy. I saw they came out w light grey camo version. Must have. :) going to give them a try. I love them w my chanel cardis :)

The top is Karl lagerfeld at Karl.com. I love these tees. Comfy and cute. They just came out w Karl zodiac. I got the Leo which was just cute ! I am a 40 and I find the tees a little small on me so have gotten the large size lately :)

My sa sent me a pic of the pink cardi in a smaller size. It’s cute on her other than being too small. Hmm. Some other pieces too :)
