She said it was the "law" sigh.

So today was the first day they can sell ground control. I was able to try a few pieces.

This jacket is beautiful
The tweed is soft and has blue mixed in w the red and black. It was amazing. I was excited to try it ! IMG_1504128916.388992.jpg

However when I put it on we were surprised at the crazy shoulder pads !!!!! IMG_1504128952.334051.jpgIMG_1504128974.030108.jpg
They stick out at an angle. Phew. It would take quite a bit of alterations to smooth that down. I don't know .....

IMG_1504129010.480896.jpg
The sweatshirt and hoodie were cute. They are not all that soft and it's a little scratchy, not itchy.

This skirt I loved to pieces haha. It was a 36
And a tad small for me. Even though it's high waisted the 38 would prob work on me. IMG_1504129067.841133.jpgIMG_1504129109.616292.jpg
IMG_1504129127.885276.jpg
It is a substantial Cotton. There are slits up the side that can be closed. It makes me happy haha. I wish I had the lifestyle for it. It's also 4600 phew nelly !

This was a bit larger in a 44 so we had to pin it up a little. I loved this one too but it's ivory w purple iridescent thread in it. Very very pretty. IMG_1504129232.268843.jpg

Again it won't fit my lifestyle sigh.

I didn't get anything yet but funnily enough may consider the hoodie as I think I would use it plenty. It comes w a cover for dry cleaning I think.

No boots yet [emoji16][emoji1317]

Both skirts are gorgeous on you :)
The tweed in the jacket is gorgeous, but those shoulder pads are a little distracting!

Thanks Nicole :)
The black skirt makes me happy haha.
It was very soft to the touch. It reminded me of the robot jacket but the robot is a bit more scratchy. It has vents in the front and back. Very spacey :)

My husband who is a Star Trek nerd said I looked like a Romulan haha.

I received the matching skirt to my navy/ black jacket. It is a bit too big so it needs to be taken in and shortened.

I like the length of the skirt. A nip and tuck and it will be perfect. Very elegant.

These pieces are so fun. Probably not appropriate for my lifestyle but fun. I hope that skirt hits sale time for you. It's adorable. The shoulder pads ummm no. Just no.

I'm probably going to sit out mission control and wait for cruise.

Very pretty.

I'm sure the dick thing is not true.
Hahahahahaha. I'm sure it's not true

How much shorter will you make it? This was shown long on the runway?

Pigleto these are really cute - love the jacket tweed, but yes, a bit costumey.
That sparkly skirt is *amaazing*!!!!

So.....I've been a bit impulsive, and over-indulged when I was having a bad day. I've been eyeing these pieces for a while and when they got marked down I decided to get them. Got a nice whammy at customs and taxes as well.

But....here they are. I may want to alter the jacket sleeves but will wait a bit to decide.

Omg. Of all things that tpf software edits, not that? [emoji849] sorry.

The skirt was shown long but not quite this long. Very few were ordered at the boutiques so I had to take one size larger and I'll have it altered down which is fine.

These are all fabulous. Congrats! The jacket is wonderful on you. Yes just minor alterations needed.

Ouch on the taxes. Confirmation: Chanel boutiques just changed their policy and they are charging tax in all states. This is new.

All three items together are still half the cost of the Velcro with burgundy trim. I wish the green sweater dress was V neck as the high round makes me top heavy - hence the knotted necklace to pull the eye down a bit.

Chanel Boutiques started charging sales taxes in all USA states several years ago, sadly. The only states that they do not charge tax is if you ship to a state that does not have sales tax or no sales tax on clothing - states like Montana.
They made a corporate decision to do this -
Department stores that carry Chanel can have varying policies on this.

Not my experience but whatever. Maybe they are selective about who to charge. I'm not going to argue with you.

The inspiration on the Ground Control jackets are actual space suits-
Hence the shoulders
French aerospace apparently gave Chanel one of their actual space suits which Chanel designers took apart to see how they were made-

Love love love the skirt
Really love it with the hoodie together
Is the skirt lined? Is it heavy ?
Would be so nice with a simple bodysuit (just sayin)
That skirt is an outfit of its own-

PbP, Mass has no tax on clothing, right? So you may not be charged tax by your local and out of state store.

Pigleto, were you charged tax in the past, when you bought from out of state?

I paid about 27% in tax and duties. I didn't mind the 13% tax because that is what we pay on every thing we purchase, but the additional 13% duty was harsh. :-/
