they're used to be called 224 reissue when there were 226, 227 etc. but since they were "discontinued" a few seasons back the name is bo longer recognized unless you get a very experienced sales. they are still in production, boutiques get very limited seasonal colors. Not sure there's a new name I usually just ask for the smallest reissue lol

Ohhh I feel you! I hate snotty SA's! When I went to the Avenue Montaigne boutique in Paris, an SA was soooo rude when I asked for help. I was dressed down with ratty tennis shoes and Jean skirt. Anyway, I was about to walk out because I was so annoyed, but a Stagaire stopped me and asked me if she could help. Needless to say, I bought two bags from her and now when I go to that boutique I ask for her specifically. Oh and I shoot dirty looks at tgat other one while showing my bags A LA Pretty Woman "Big Mistake"scene, lol.

On a side note, I did ask at another boutique about the 224 and no one knew what I was talking about. They said "you mean the 2.55 madame" and I said NO, I mean the 224! Are we sure that's the right name for it???

ooh are we? can I see more photos of yours? This is the navy from the cruise12 collection so I wonder if its the same...here is another shot with my old chanel boucle jacket. It has ruthenium buttons... so all matchy matchy:shame:

I tried to look for the price but it were cut off from the price tag. However I could see the style code = A37584. I assumed if this one is equivalent to the small classic flap in term of price then it should be 3,700.00 USD. You may call the boutique to verify.

Correction! I went into the Chanel Boutique in SF Union Square again today and verified the price of this reissue 224, style code A37584. The price is actually 4,200 USD! My SA told me that the price for this 224 has just increased a couple of weeks ago but it used to be the same price with the small classic flap, which is still 3,700 USD. So the new price for 224 is 4,200 USD.

Wow that is crazy! It's thesame size as the mini flap minus the double flap! It's really cute but for that money. I'd rather get a jumbo!

just so beautiful! hope you got lots of wear from it during the holidays. I found my navy 224 invaluable as it looks smart enough for formal evenings, (wore it with vintage ghost velvet evening gown in blue with pink cashmere/silk wrap) but I can still use it super casually with jeans during the day! -you really cannot say that for many other bags....!

I just love this one! It would be great for smart evening do's (imaginary lifestyle) as well as with jeans during the day.(real lifestyle) I did see a gorgeous metallic last season, but I thought best to start with the basics. So I bought the navy one instead...Navy with ruthenium hardware
