some Paris boutiques still had it early January, maybe you can call them up if you are still interested, although I really like the one you got. Also, aged calfskin is just as sturdy as caviar
Hi there, I bought it in the Chanel boutique in Berlin. It was in the 227 size and the last one though, no more other sizes at all. I wanted a 226 as well but apparently this is sold out according to the SAs. Supposedly there was one left in Paris? I was not really eager to order this though, as they wouldn't hold the 227 for me in the meantime and I wasn't sure if the 226 would be okay. I had seen other versions that were Made in Italy, as this is, and they were all really uneven / wonky. Mostly because the turnlocks were inserted at an angle compared to the bottom as opposed to straight. So I thought it would be better to go with this one which was in good shape.
Thanks for the tip! I might actually. I wouldn't mind the "regular" quilting instead of the chevron, I would just like to have a smaller size, a 226 or a 225.I got my caviar reissue in Paris, but it is quilted, not chevron
Haha, that was great timing then for me! I sold three other bags from (2 from YSL, 1 Prada) to fund at least part of this (talking about poor resale value! :-P). Initially I looked at the timeless classic flap, but they all looked weird on me. When the SA finally pulled out this beauty, I was immediately taken. It looked like it had always belonged to me.
