I agree with @ladysarah

I've found some in the London Chanel flagship but my GOD they were pedantic about it. I referred to it as the 224 and the SA INSISTED he had no idea what I was talking about. I finally used the word "MINI" to describe the Reissue and then he went to the store room and brought a load out. They were either seasonal tweeds or patent though.

I eventually got incredibly lucky via ebay; I bought a black / gold one from a seller who bought it from Harrods. I took it into the Bond St store to get a bit of stitching fixed (...kiiind of just to get it authenticated haha) and I LOVE IT. Seen a few pop up on Vestiaire too.

Hi do you happen to know the price of the 224 here in the uk? I'm having difficulty describing it to SAs as well - perhaps because it's not in season

Any info would help! TIA!

I don't remember the exact price but I remember being absolutely gobsmacked. I think it came in at just under £3,000, which seems absurd for a mini. I've seen them being resold on Ebay / Vestiaire from between £1,600 to £2,600 for the leather bags; tweed tends to be cheaper.

Mine on ebay was £1,600 and in great condition (apart from one bit of stitching coming undone on one corner; but like I said - the Bond St store fixed it for free, no problem). So I'd go into a boutique to check out the size etc., be sure you're into itt and then keep your eyes peeled on the pre-loved market.

Oh wow that price is a little considering the size of the bag!

Yes I saw that it was coming in for prefall and I was considering one as they look so cute! But at that prive point I would be better off getting a 225 or 226 and looking at another square mini instead!

Thank you for the info! Preloved route is definitely the better option for this one!

Strange they don't know, my local SA and Chanel's webpage call It small (petit) reissue and it's the 224 part of the permanent collection in distressed black leatherImageUploadedByPurseForum1462815817.281648.jpg
To me it looks much more than a real bag comparing it with my mini that is more a fun bag to me.

We only have 3 available on the London site and the smallest is definitely not the 224. TRIP TO PARIS? :cool:

That's not the small size or 224 as we call it. However they don't call this bag 224 in the shops which could be the reason for the confusion... I see it almost every season in various reincarnations.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but here is my understanding of the Reissue sizing:

224=Mini, which is only available seasonally
225=Small, which is classic/iconic and is also available seasonally in different colors, leathers, etc.
226=Medium, which is classic/iconic and is also available seasonally in different colors, leathers, etc.
227=Large, which is classic/iconic and is also available seasonally in different colors, leathers, etc.
228=Jumbo, XL, etc., which is only available seasonally
