Very pretty! Congratulations!I recently got a new (to me!) 2.55 reissue. It was labeled as metallic lambskin, but to me it really looks more like aged calfskin. However, I'm admittedly not super familiar with Chanel leathers. It has a wonderful glow regardless! View attachment 6146456View attachment 6146457

Greatly appreciate the confirmation!Aged calfI have this too, from years ago, and I love it. Mine has been super durable and just gets better with age ! Congrats
Hi! I love reissues and think they are a fab addition to a Chanel collection. Very understated, IFYKYK vibe, and also extremely classy. If you have the ability to sell a bag to get a reissue, I vote yes!I have a recatangle mini flap, medium camellia crush flap, and jumbo classic caviar, all are black with GHW. The mini and Camellia Crush feel redundant—I’m thinking of selling one and getting a Reissue with silver or ruthenium hardware. Any thoughts?
Agree with this. I love the understated vibe of the reissue, it's great when you don't want to scream Chanel and in general, has an edgier feel than the classic CC. Love it especially in the ruthenium and black hardware.Hi! I love reissues and think they are a fab addition to a Chanel collection. Very understated, IFYKYK vibe, and also extremely classy. Thank you both! I think this is my plan. Obviously keeping the jumbo but and having a hard time between the camelia crush and the rectangle mini flap.Agree with this. It’s a worthy trade! The camellia crush would be my option for the one to go since the jumbo has its own charm. Something fabulous about a bag that’s mainly empty. I love my 225. Currently thinking of letting go a micro Chanel bag and a Dior WOC for another 225 so I understand the conundrum. Thank you. Definitely keeping the jumbo—she was my first Chanel. Honestly, thinking I’ll just keep everything and buy the reissue preloved. It’s a worthy trade! Ruthenium. My recently purchased bag last fall has its black hardware chipping in certain parts. RHW is worry free and i use mine without worry. I’m 5’7 and it hits my hip crossbody and is a chic shoulder bag. I prefer holding the chains in a bunch in my hand as a handheld bag.Am torn between 225 black reissue aged calf skin bags in black hardware and ruthenium hardware. I already have a dark clothing wardrobe, usually casual, bare minimum to no jewellery. Only contrast in wardrobe would be the jacket and shoes, don't have many special events to go to besides a wedding once in a while. Thoughts in terms of look and hardware wear&tear for keeping as a forever bag? Aside from Mulberry mini quilted cara bag, my other black bags are on the larger side so I don't really have a nice evening bag in black. I'm also 5ft tall, how many of you carry it crossbody and with chain drop, where abouts does the bag sit on your body?
