i just recently acquired a preowned chanel reissue 225 in gray chevron with GhW. This is my ideal size and i love the chevron style. But i have to sell one of my bags due to a recent purchase and i am having a hard time deciding if i want to sell this versus my chanel 19 large navy blue flap bag which i use a lot. Thinking about resale value and ability to buy one again in the future, what would you choose?

Reissue hands down. More classic. Could be dressed up and down. Plus you’re posting in the reissue clubhouse
Tough choice. I am a huge fan of both the reissue and the 19. The reissue is probably the more timeless option and the reality is that the reissues don't hold their value well, and the current boutique pricing is pretty inflated, so if you have one you love then I'd say keep it! I also love chevron reissues and those aren't released as often as quilted so another reason to keep the reissue. As much as I love the 19, and I personally have 5, I do wonder if it'll stand the test of time...although we ought to wear what we love regardless! Good luck, it's a tough decision.
I hope this is the appropriate thread. Therealreal just valued my 2019 224 beige reissue mini in excellent condition at 2500. listing price. I would receive about 1900. Knowing that reissues do not hold their value well, do you think this is a fair price? It seemed like I'd seen other reissue minis listing at higher prices. I don't need to sell it, but our new home has VERY small closets unfortunately and I don't use it much.
I wouldn’t sell it if I don’t have to; for couple of reasons
-224 size is very rare now I don’t think chanel make this size anymore
-224 size should have double flap and it hold it shape much better than reissue mini. I seen some of those minis that lost its shape like sides were sticking out ect.
Then again those are mho.
Sorry, I can’t give an advice on the price. But if I am not mistaken, the last time Chanel made a 224 was in 2017 Metier’s collection with Ritz Hotel lucky charms.
All the mini reissues came out after that were just mini reissues.
Like @zaraha said 224 has double flap and was priced much higher than mini reissues. 224 is very rare and would worth more than a mini reissue in the market.
Look up other pre owned bags like this and see what the average price is. Then you can work out if this is better or worse. IMO the most knowledgeable person on pricing is going to be someone who’s in the market right at the same time. chanel’s price changes, and the pre owned market pricing, makes it such a dynamic pricing environment.

Was waiting for a mini quite some time in ruthenium, but this just spoke to me as an everyday neutral, hope I am right.
