Had a SO black 227 reissue and after using it only once or twice a year since 2016 I sold it. I'm 5'9 act 135lbs and while the size looked ok on me I felt that as a shoulder bag it was just too blocky and stuck out too far. I also have a 225 re-issue and I wear that a ton but mostly for going out. For me in particular I felt the 227 wasn't what I like to use for a day bag, I much prefer handheld (ie, Birkin or Kelly) for that purpose. Even at my height I'd happily add a few more 225s to my collection.For those of you who own 227’s — do you like the larger size? What are the pros and cons of the Reissue Jumbo equivalent? I’m 5’10” and have an athletic build. I don’t think it would overwhelm me. Does it look much larger than a 226?

I don't think age matters! Any 2.55 would be so classic for any age. However, mini is kind of like a clutch with chain. For shoulder bag, I'd go for bigger double lined ones as they are more substantial
I agree that small can look dainty which is great if going somewhere nice, but as an everyday bag, I think I (personally speaking) can look odd and out of proportion.You’re not too late and I appreciate your comment. I’m 5’10” and have a medium-middle-aged-retired-model-who-doesn’t-have-to-worry-about-fittings build.Sometimes small bags look like children’s bags against my frame and that is why I’m thinking about a 227. I’ve tried the 225 and it’s too small. I owned a 226 and loved it, but I thought I’d try larger.

Reissues are still my favorite Chanel bags. I used to thing the 227 was the perfect size, now I find it too big for me. I prefer to wear the 226. Though, I'm not planning to sell because big bags will eventually come back in style and I haven't been very luck with consignment stores.

It doesn't overwhelm at all. It's just a preference. I have it in Chevron. I usually take 226 with me, but a year ago, 227 was my favourite go to bag. I somehow prefer now micro bags, idk what's the thing with me, but if you had a chance, you should definitely get one 227, as it's somehow spacier than 226 if you need to carry something extra that wouldn't fit in 226.
It would be absolutely beautiful if the outer stiching was not there and if the hardware was shiny gold. Leather colour is impeccable.
I don’t think it’s odd looking at all. It’s just a super cute bag. I’m in my early 40s and love wearing my chevron 2.55 mini in light purple.

Yeah I totally agree! My reissue 2.55 mini isn't heavy at all. And the chain is flat so doesn't dig in or anything. One of my favourite bags even though it doesn't get used all that much anymore!
Agree I think it’s actually nicer the chain is all metal. Helps stay on shoulder more
I am looking into getting a Reissue but curious for those of you who have had yours for a while, do the diamond quilts lose its puffiness? Also when you fold open your flaps, does it make the quilts look flatter? Sort of like some of the quilts on this bag?
I'm super excited: I think a beige Reissue mini will be in the upcoming release! I missed the last two released, and am hoping this one will be the same tone.) Anyone else as excited as I am??
