For those of you who own 227’s — do you like the larger size? What are the pros and cons of the Reissue Jumbo equivalent? I’m 5’10” and have an athletic build. I don’t think it would overwhelm me. Does it look much larger than a 226?
Thank you for any info you can provide.:flowers:
I did not like the 227 size and sold it, it was too big. I like the look of the 224, 225, and 226.

I just received my first mini reissue by mail. Please advise if the horizontal dents/marks on the flap are normal? Is this how aged calf skin should be?

Thanks in advance.

I literally just got this exact same bag yesterday and it has very similar horizontal lines. It’s intentional and gives it a vintage look. I absolutely love it!! The leather this year seems a lot glossier and stiffer than the 21k mini chevron reissue. Therefore the “aged” look seems more like horizontal folds than crinkling all over. It’s an aesthetic.

I still love my 227, but I rarely use it since I've been using mini or small crossbody bags for a few years. I chose it over a jumbo at the time and I have zero regrets. When I need a bigger bag, I will definitely use it again. The calfskin is so nice & I don't worry about babying it at all. The pros of a reissue over a classic flap are the same regardless of size. It's just a matter of what you like better.

For the turnlock on reissues, do you guys find it a problem with aligning the flap to the lock, like it takes a few tries to close the turnlock- like the first few times it doesn’t align? Does the front of the bag sort of cave in when the bag is not full and it’s difficult to close the turnlock? Thanks for your help!

I have a mini, I haven't experienced this

Added another reissue to my small collection. I parted with my so black chevron mini reissue this year since I added a chevron 225 reissue with aghw. I felt the bags were too similar because of the chevron pattern. So that filled a hole for mini reissue. My SA had a late arrival of this 22A green cutie. (The card holder is from 20B)

What are your thoughts about the mini chevron you sold? I'm currently debating between a black mini reissue chevron and a fuchsia mini reissue!! And I can't decide!

Hi! I kind of regret selling it since I wore it a ton. It’s such a versatile bag, but when I got the 225 size black chevron and AGHW I thought at the time they were too similar. I think about adding it back, but there are other bags I want to get first. Lol. I do carry the chevron 225 size alot

As for the fuschia mini, I want that bag too!!!! That bag is so cute.

If you have room for both, I would see about getting both. Or if I had to pick between the two, I would get the fuschia seeing that I do have other black bags in my collection. I don’t see that color come often in reissues.

The fuchsia is so beautiful!! I think I might go with the chevron first as I have a super small collection and I only have 1 black bag at the moment ... but hmm a lot to think about I wish I had the funds to get both!

Am I too late? Just saw this...

I have the 227 and the anniversary edition 228 (in gold HW) and my 228 is a bit big these days although at the time all those years ago, I didn't think so.

My 227 is the ideal size. I'm only 5'7 and I think it fits me perfectly. It's from 2009 and it's still my everyday bag!

Do you think it is odd looking for a 40-50 year old to wear a mini reissue as a shoulder bag? The bag is so small and cute and seems more appropriate for 20 year olds. Opinions?
Personally I don’t find it odd. I’m 49 years old and I just purchased a green reissue and I love it and happily wear it. For me personally, I think the 225 and mini sizes are perfect for my frame. I’m 5’3. I do own the large reissue size, and it was the handbag I carried to work. But now working from home I don’t carry as much these days.

But I digress, wear what you love! And the minis look good on anyone at any age. :)

You’re not too late and I appreciate your comment. I’m 5’10” and have a medium-middle-aged-retired-model-who-doesn’t-have-to-worry-about-fittings build. Sometimes small bags look like children’s bags against my frame and that is why I’m thinking about a 227. I’ve tried the 225 and it’s too small. I owned a 226 and loved it, but I thought I’d try larger.
Thank you again!:flowers:
