Just picked up this bag in Rome for the Wife. Guess we found a good one since it sounds like these 224s are quite elusive! I have been resisting the flap bag because I don't like the way they look on my wife (she is more of a tote person) but this one was just too unique not to pick up and looked great on her due to the small size. Also I have to admit that my "Husband Competitiveness" got the best of me when another lady at the store wanted every bag we picked out. We actually took the bag to the other end of the store but this lady kept hounding our salesperson, we won out .

As always, thanks for the education lesson on what we picked up, the wife loves it and now she feels like a true Chanel owner (despite having multiple bags) with her Reissue.

I bought this "224" back in 1998 (98A double flap made in France) in lamb skin, if anyone knows the actual name other than 224 for this style in the 90's I would love to know it, I love it so much that I still carry it every year during winter time. Thanks for letting me share.

ladysarah ~ thanks for correction. I did a quick measurement, I think it is 225?? (approx 9x6x2,5) :shame:. I asked one of my current SA she told me it was a 224 based on the size of my Black Silver M/L (see photo). I am 5'7" so most smaller bags look much smaller on me... (LOL). I also included the original tag to show the price I paid in 1998, and just that brings tons smile on my face. Thank you Lady, I adore your navy 224.
